MOMENT OF DAILY ENCOUNTER (MODE)
Date: 4TH NOVEMBER, 2026

TOPIC: BIBLE FAITH (PART 2)
⚓Scripture: Romans 10: 17. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Beloved, in continuation from where we stopped yesterday, We did establish that faith Bible faith is a faith that is based on God and His word. Those who based their faith on anything else apart from God and His word is not dealing with Bible faith! We went further to explain that Bible faith is the response or action taken based on the conviction the word of God has produce in you! So if you are convinced you must take action of obedience. And we close yesterday by saying Bible faith originates from the word of God. Today we seek to understand the meaning of the word of God that birth this Bible faith.

Please understand that Bible faith is a living faith! So, just the way a living baby is conceived and birth from a womb is the same way bible faith can be conceived and be born in the heart of men! In baby formation, two factors are involved, there must be coming together of a male and female for a baby to be conceived, so also there must be coming together of two factors the word of God and the heart of men! It is the union of your heart which is also known as your spirit with the word of God that gives birth to Bible faith. The conception of faith begins with hearing the word of God with an open heart (I.e your spirit).

From our anchor scripture we discover that:
*So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.Romans 10: 17.*

You will observe that there are two 'hearing' from the above scripture The first 'hearing' means to perceive and the second 'hearing' means to understand. Therefore faith is conceived in any heart that can perceive and understand the word of God. The Passion Translation renders thus:
*Faith, then, is birthed in a heart that responds to God’s anointed utterance of the Anointed One.*
(Romans 10:17 TPT)

This is why Kenneth E. Haggin of blessed memory quipped: The greatest enemy to faith is a lack of understanding of God’s Word. In fact, all hindrances to faith center on this: lack of knowledge, because you cannot believe or have faith beyond your actual level of knowledge of the Word of God.

So, perceiving and understanding of the word of God is the genesis of faith. Irrespective of how long you hang around faith preachers, if you cannot perceive and understand the word of God sent to you, faith will never rise up in your heart and you can never be victorious in the battles of life. Remember faith is not a borrowable vessel, you can't borrow the faith of your father or mother to work for you, neither can you borrow the faith of your pastor or your friends to help you fight battles. Every one will fight based on their own level of faith. For the Bible said:
*Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.*

So, you live by your own faith which is key to victorious Christian life. This is why the Bible says:
*1 John 5: 4. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith* .

Beloved, be sure that what you are hearing is the word of God! If you acted without the word of God, faith will not be born. It was T. L Osborn that opined that
"If what you hear preached doesn't cause faith to come and be built in your spirit, then it either isn't the Word of God or else you're not hearing it"! So whatever you are hearing make sure it is the word of God.

*What then is the word of God?*
When we talk about the word of God most people think it is only the scriptures! In the days of Naoh and Abraham there was no scriptures yet they recieve the word of God that produce conviction that led to the action of faith they took.

*What then is the word of God?*
The word of God is any communication that releasees the voice of God, the ways of God and the life of God. The word of God is not Greek, Latin or English language but a platform for accessing the voice of God, the ways of God and the life of God.

Beloved God's desire is that our lives become avenues for the release of the word of God. Infact, we are to be the Bible the world is reading as God constantly release His word through us

MOMENT OF DAILY ENCOUNTER (MODE)
Date: 3RD NOVEMBER, 2026

TOPIC: THE BIBLE FAITH
Scripture : Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter. Yesterday, we introduced the theme of the month as THE MYSTERY OF FAITH! Today, we seek to establish that the faith in question is Bible faith.

*What then is Bible faith?*
There are several kinds of faith that is not Bible faith. For instance a husband can look at his wife and ask her a question, "do you have faith in me"? Certainly that is not Bible faith! Or a Boss motivating his subordinates by saying have faith in what you are doing. Or somebody trying to boost your confidence by saying have faith in yourself, etc, certainly none of the above mentioned case is Bible faith! You could have faith in your father, mother, uncle, governors or president etc. You could even have faith in your skills or talents! It is also not a Bible faith. The reason is that it is not baed on God and His word. Please understand that whatever makes your faith to be hanging on mortal man or something else other than God and His word is not Bible faith.

Bible faith therefore is a faith that is centered on God and the Bible being God's word.

*Various definition of Bible faith?*
I will like to compare three different translations here:
A.( KJV)Hebrews 11: 1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. KJV

B.(NIV) Heb.11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Hebrews 11:1 NIV

C. (AMP) Heb.11:1 Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].

According to scriptural definition of faith above, one thing is common to all the translations and that is the word "assurance" and "evidence." So if what you are professing is faith, there must be an assurance and there must be evidence.

*Bible faith versus foolishness,*
Now there are so many things people do and call it faith, which is not faith because if it is faith, it will always deliver results. For instance a man decided to go into a lion's den without no instructions from God, no revelation of what is written, and call it faith! The Lions ended up eaten him alive while still calling on God. You will all agree with me that such action is never a faith action but foolishness. Faith is not foolishness. You don't take action without a word or instructions that has produce conviction in you and call it faith! If you take action without conviction it is not faith because faith is combination of series of activitiess that comprises of recieving word/instructions that you must believe to have a conviction before taken an action! If all you are doing is action without word/instructions that is not faith action and will definitely lead to frustration.

I will therefore define faith as action taken based on the conviction the word of God has produced in the life of a man. Hence, just believing alone is not faith, it is action taken based on what you believe. If you believe and take no action, then it is not faith. Your believing must be strong enough to produce a conviction that leads to action. This is why the Bible said:
*James 2: 20. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?*

'Works' here speaks of action taken in response to your conviction. For example, your salvation is incomplete when you only believe in your heart! You must open your mouth to declare the Lordship of Jesus over your life before you're saved:
*Romans 10: 9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.*

Similarly, faith for healing is not complete until backed up with action! For example, the woman with the issue of blood believed Jesus in her heart and she backed up her conviction by her action by touching the helm of Jesus garment and then her healing was confirmed(Mrk .5:25-30).

Beloved, do you desire an open door in any area of your life, then you must take action based on what God has told you and that is Faith.

*How Bible faith is born?*
Bible faith originates from what God has told you. If you haven't heard anything from God, please don't take any action. Any action taken without the word of God is not Bible faith. The reason why the faith of many people are failing is because they take action when they haven't heard anything from God. Please pay the price to listen to the word or meditate on the word of God until you receive something that produce conviction before talking any action steps.

The Bible said:
*Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.*

Observed here that faith comes only by hearing the word of God! Hence, we can therefore deduce that the origin of Bible faith is the word of God! So, if what you are hearing is the word of God, it is capable of generating Bible faith in you. The woman with the issues of blood heard something that was the basis of her conviction and then she made faith confession and took action and she received her miracle (Mark 5: 27-34)

TOPIC: INTRODUCTION TO THE MYSTERY OF THE FAITH IN GOD
⚓Scripture: 1 Timothy 3:9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! We give thanks and praises to God Almighty for sending us His word on Divine wisdom as gateway to open doors all through the month of October! We believe you the wisdom that delivers the key to your open has been given to you as a testimony to that effect, God alone be praise. We therefore welcome you to the month of November! What's the Holy Ghost saying concerning the month of November?

We understand from scriptures that it is understanding that makes outstanding in life and destiny! And that no man can operate a device/machine without adequate understanding of how to operate the device/machine! Our Christian life is that device/machine which can not be operated except adequate knowledge of certain mysteries that guide the Christian faith. Hence scattered around in the Bible are several mysteries of which we have tried to communicate since the year began. Some of these mysteries are:
I. The mystery of the kingdom (Mrk.4:11)
II. The mystery of marriage (Eph.5:31-32)
III. The mystery of Rapture (1Cor.15:51)
IV. The mystery of iniquity (2Thess.2:7)
V. The mystery of godliness (2Tim.3:16)
Vi. The mystery of Christ in me (Col.2:27)

And then the last of all is the mystery of faith;
*1 Timothy 3:9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.*

So, faith is a mystery that can not be understood and comprehend by human mind except the by the help of the Holy Spirit. Many have tried frantically to know what is faith using their brain but could not because faith is a mystery. Some have come to ask me "pastor are you sure this subject called faith is not a scam"? Because in their widest imagination they can't see their faith producing results ! And with lamentable voice, they said, "Pastor, I have tried faith and is not working." Well, the reason why it seems their faith is failing is probably because of lack of understanding of the fact that faith is a mystery and, as such, could not comprehend the dynamics of operation of faith.

An understanding of dynamics of the operation of faith will deliver us from faith failure and frustration that many believers encounter in an attempt to operate their faith. In an attempt to operate faith, many have delve into several activities they presume to be faith which is not faith. Faith is key to open doors as we see doors of exploits flung open to men/women of faith(Heb.11:33-34). Faith is also key to maintaining a victorious Christian life:
*1 John 5: 4. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.*

According to the above scripture, if you are born of God, you have been position for a victorious life! This is because being born of God ushers you into a life of God which is a life of faith and faith is the Victory that overcomes the world.

*Why are we concerned about the operation of faith?*
In our Christian journey, faith is crucial! There's basically nothing we can achieve without faith! Faith is the basis of our pleasing God. For the Bible said;
*Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.*

In this Christian walk;
I. We are saved by faith(Eph.2:8)
II. We obtain answers to prayer by faith(Mrk 11:23)
III. We live by faith (Hab.2:4, Rom.1:17)
IV. We carry out exploits in this kingdom by faith (Heb.11:33-34, 1Sam.17:20-50)
V. We break through by faith (Heb.11:33-34)
VI. We access realms of glory by faith (Jn.11:40)
VII. It takes faith to understand God's language (Rom.11:33)

Therefore, the revelation of the operation of faith is so important because what makes for believer's victory is delivered as a mystery, what makes for open doors in life and destiny is delivered as a mystery.

*What then is a mystery?*
According to Merriam Webster dictionary, a mystery is a religious truth that one can know only by revelation and cannot fully understand.

So faith is a mystery because it can only be known by revelation! Hence, we have to rely on the Holy Spirit to unravel the revelation of faith that makes for our open doors and our Christian victory. We don't understand this mystery by head knowledge, it is purely an operation of the the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has to paint a picture of what God is saying, strong enough for you to be convinced and then act. The action you take based on the conviction of what God told you is faith. In order words, faith is an action that is predicated on the conviction received from the word of God! So in one word faith is obedience, taking action in the light of the revelation of the word that has produce conviction in you. Join us once again on this platform; Moment of Daily Encounter, as we look upon the Monarch of the universe while we journey through the Bible all through the month of November as we explore the theme: *THE MYSTERY OF FAITH KEY TO OPEN DOORS*! You will be richly blessed.

MOMENT OF DAILY ENCOUNTER (MODE)
Date: 1ST NOVEMBER 2026
TOPIC : PRAISE THE LORD! IT IS THANKSGIVING TIME!
⚓Scripture :Psalm 107: 8. Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! We give thanks and praise to God Almighty who has made it possible for us to see the end of October! Today is the first day of November and as our custom is on Moment of Daily Encounter it is thanksgivings time.
Our anchor scripture begins with this exclamation:
Psalm 107: 8. Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Observe the clause "Oh that men would praise the LORD"- meaning I wish all men would praise the LORD! Even amongst so called Christian, the understanding is not there to praise the lord that's why in most of our assembly/meetings, you will see someone shout praise the lord expecting a shout of hallelujah to rent the air yet non of such. You have have to shout it again and again before getting few persons responding hallelujah. This is because many lack understanding of how to praise God.
It is quite unfortunate that men don't praise God except they see their obvious expectation being fulfilled! This is not right. We must sustain an understanding that thanksgivings and praise to God is a must do because it works like magnetic force that pulls into your life your desire expectation.
Beloved, what have you been trusting God since the year began that has not happened? Is it marrital settlement, financial settlement or health wise? It could be the fruit of the womb that you are trusting God for that has not happened yet and now comes the month of November, instead of being joyful you are sad because you feel the year is winding up without your desire expectation! Hmmm!. Please stop being sad! Be joyful because your God is still on the throne.
Beloved, understand that you have to be alive before you can see your desire expectation/goals comes to pass. So, the fact that you are still alive is a sign that, that your desire expectation will come to pass. Therefore give thanks to God in anticipation for it. Thank God none of your organs has failed yet( your liver, your kidney, your heart etc) are still functioning. Thank God you have not lost your eye sight! Thank God you have not lost your hearing capability etc.
Oh that men would give thanks and praise to God! Somebody will ask for what?
Well the Bible present us several reasons why! Well the following are why we need to give thanks and praises to God:
I. For His goodness(Ps.107:8): God is good and His goodness is to all men :
Matthew 5: 45. That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Observed that both the just and the unjust (wicked) enjoy equal amount of sunlight and rain. The same is applicable to air, every body have access to the same amount of air! This is the description of God's goodness. If we are to pay for the oxygen of the air we breathe freely every day, we would not have been able to pay yet God made it available everyday, it has never been in short supply for once not even for one minute. Now think of the volume of oxygen you have consumed for this year alone, and you will agree me that God is good. So thank Him for his goodness.
II. For His wonderful works (Ps.107:8): This is another reason to give thanks and praise to God. It is the wonder of God that you could sleep every day and wake up the following day. In-between your sleeping and waking up many things happened yet God sustained you. There are many persons who have slept and never wake up but you are not one of them! So give thanks. For the Bible said:
Psalm 3: 5. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
III. It is your responsibility for being alive to give thanks :
Isaiah 38: 18. For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. 19. The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.
Those who have gone into the grave cannot praise God, So now that you have the opportunity to praise God, do it now because the dead cannot praise Him..
IV. It is commanded for us to praise and give thanks :
Psalm 150: 6. Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
As long as you are still breathing this command is for you, to praise God continually
V. Thanksgiving has a multiplier effect (Jn. 6:5-13): Jesus gave thanks for five loaves of bread and two fishes and it multiply to feed five thousand! So as you give thanks for whatever is remaining in your life now, expect a multiplication! That little seeds in your hands will not die if you can thank God for it. Are you trusting God for baby, thank God because you still have a womb that can carry baby or has your womb be remove thank God you are still alive.
Beloved, I don't know what you have lost within the year or past months? Is it your job, your business, your means of livelihood, your loved ones or a precious relationship? Whatever it is that you have lost, God is the reason why you did not lost your life, God is the reason why you did not lost every thing! So He deserves your thanks! Settle down this morning and give thanks with a heart of gratitude to God.
How do you give thanks?
It is with a grateful heart. Show to God you are grateful today. Praise Him with songs of praise(Ps.89:1), thank Him with all your heart, and with an offering (Ps.96:8).
Remember this : Heaven is real and hell is real, the choice we made now determined where we shall spend eternity. Give your heart to Jesus today!
Prayer points:
~ Father thank you for your word to me today,
~ Father, I receive grace to thank you again and again for your mercy over my life since the year began, accept my thanks in Jesus name.
Prophetic Declaration:
~ I prophesy the God of Divine preservation will preserve you all through this month and beyond in the name of Jesus.
~ Your life is excused from calamity and disaster in the name of Jesus
Assignment : Set a time apart and give thanks to God for your life today.

TOPIC: THE EYES OF UNDERSTANDING
⚓Scripture:Ephesians 1: 18. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! We shall be wrapping up on the theme of the month today. We have established so far that wisdom is key to open doors and that wisdom will not function alone. Wisdom function with her twin brother which is an understanding heart. Now there's a description the Bible gave about understanding and that is our consideration for today.

Does understanding have eyes?
Yes of course! Someone might rightly say no. Well the Bible said so(Eph.1;18).

Please note the understanding we are talking about here is a spirit, and she has eyes but not like our optical human eyes. God is the giver of understanding(Job 38:36)! The reason He gives us understanding is to enable us see what God is saying and comprehend it.

*What is the meaning of "eyes of understanding?"*
The eyes of your understanding has the following definitions:
I. It mean the eyes of your heart. Your inner eyes! It is the eyes of your spirit that helps you to grasp what God is speaking to you per time.

II. It is what helps you to catch the picture God is trying to show you through His word.

III. It is likened to a camera that bring the spiritual information to focus such that your mind can comprehend it and utilize it.

From our anchor scripture reveals the prayer Apostle Paul was praying for the Ephesians church (Eph.1;15-18)! This clearly shows that God desire the eyes of your understanding to be enlighten!

*Why does God want the eyes of your understanding to be enlightened ?*
I. It is so that you may know what is the hope of his calling(Eph.1:18). To know means to be fully aware! Nobody tastes honey and spits it out! If you can get a full picture of what God has in stock for you, you won't waiver in your faith adventure. Many don't know the hope of their calling as children of God, hence they live miserable lives as if they are hopeless. They give up their faith very fast.

Beloved, you can only know your hope in Christ when the eyes of your understanding are enlightened. It is God's desire that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened.

II. It is for you to know the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints(Eph.1:18)! Beloved there are inheritances kept for you in Christ Jesus. There is a glory for you but can never be accessed without the eyes of your understanding being enlightened

III. It is so that the mysteries of kingdom of God can be clearly understood. In the Bible there are several mysteries! Some of them include:
a. The kingdom of God (Mrk.4:11) is a mystery
b. Marriage (Eph.5:31-32) is a mystery, to approach marriage without the eyes of your understanding been enlightened will lead to a lot of confusion.
c. Faith is a mystery(1Tim.3:9); you can never understand faith, without the eyes of your understanding opening up.
d. Rapture (1Cor.15:51) is a mystery
e. Christ living in me (Colo.2:27) is a mystery
f. Iniquity (2Thess.2:7) is a mystery
g. Godliness (1Tim.3:16) is a mystery
And many more! If the eyes of your understanding are not enlightened there is no way you can understand the mysteries of God.

IV. It is so that you can understand the scriptures. The first thing Jesus did to some of his disciples after resurrection, was to open up the eyes of their understanding :
*Luke 24: 45. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,*

Beloved in accessing the wisdom that is locked up in the scriptures both the learned and unlearned are on the same page (Isa.29:11-12)! So, do you desire to know the scriptures?, then the eyes of your understanding must be enlightened otherwise, the wisdom of God that is lock up in the word can never be accessed. It is not by your education rather by the operation of the Holy Spirit!

*How can the eyes of your understanding be enlightened?*
I. You must be born again ie regenerated
II. Submit to the ministry of the Holy Spirit who is the author of the scriptures.
III. Through deliberate prayer for the eyes of your understanding to be opened
IV. Get filled with the Holy Spirit and pray in tongues consistently
V. Opening up your heart to the Holy Spirit on consistent basis.

In conclusion, the eyes of your understanding is necessary for all believers because it is the camera of catching light/insight from the scriptures. Hence the commands get wisdom and get understanding also. As we draw the curtain to a close; we have been looking at DIVINE WISDOM AS KEY TO OPEN DOORS all through this month. And I believe the grace called wisdom have been greatly imparted into our hearts. You can do well to go over the various topics once again for your spiritual edification. See you in the month of November.

*Remember this:* Heaven is real, and hell is real! Your choice of where to spend eternity is best made now! Give your heart to Jesus today because Jesus loves you.
*Prayer points:*
~ Father, thank you for your word to me today,
~ Father, I ask that you enlighten the eyes of my understanding in the name of Jesus.
*Prophetic Declaration* :
~ I prophesy the eyes of your understanding be enlightened by the power of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus.
~ Your inheritance among the saints, receive grace to access it now in the name of Jesus.
~ I decree that confusion in your soul is over for ever in Jesus name.

*Assignment* : Determine to pursue the spirit of understanding by all means because it is like the lens of a camera that determine the photograph formed, so also the eyes of your understanding is what determine the picture you can capture from the word of God.
