Not every prison has walls.

Some are built with deception.
Some with poverty.
Some with fear.
Some with violence.

Every day, millions of people around the world are trapped in human trafficking for sexual exploitation, forced labour, domestic servitude, forced marriage, organ removal, and other forms of exploitation. Their freedom is stolen. Their dignity is violated. Their voices are silenced.

Human trafficking does not discriminate. It steals childhoods, tears families apart, exploits vulnerability, and thrives wherever silence, injustice, and indifference are allowed to exist.

Today, on World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, we stand in solidarity with every survivor whose courage has overcome exploitation. We remember those who are still trapped, and we renew our commitment to protect the vulnerable, raise awareness, pursue justice, and restore hope.

Freedom is not a privilege—it is a God-given human right.

As Scripture reminds us:

“Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed.” — Isaiah 1:17

May we never be silent in the face of injustice. May we choose compassion over indifference, courage over fear, and action over apathy.

End the silence. End human trafficking. Together, we can protect lives, restore dignity, and defend freedom.

They were on the verge of giving up on their education. Today, they are graduates.

Last week, we celebrated the graduation of some of the beneficiaries of The Right to Be a Girl Project at Junior Secondary School, Kabusa.

For some of these girls, staying in school once seemed out of reach. Through this project, they received not only scholarships, but also the support, encouragement, and opportunities they needed to keep believing in their future.

Watching them reach this milestone is a powerful reminder that when we invest in a girl, we don’t just change her story, we help shape the future of her family and community.

We are deeply grateful to Mundo Cooperanté Mundo Cooperante for partnering with us to make moments like this possible. Together, we are ensuring that more girls have the opportunity to learn, thrive, and dream without limits.
