President of the Senate, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Sir,

When I saw the viral claims of Donald Trump calling Nigeria a “disgraced country,” my heart sank — not because of what he said, but because it reflects how the world now questions our ability to protect our own citizens.

But Nigeria is not a disgraced country.
We are bruised, not broken. Tested, not defeated.

Our problem isn’t capacity — it’s political will.
We have the weapons, soldiers, and budget…
But do we have the courage to act?

If there’s one man who has shown political will before, it’s Godswill Akpabio.
You turned Akwa Ibom from doubt to development. You built the roads, the stadium, the hospital — and our hope.

It’s sad and telling, that the Igbo tribe, which gave Nigeria its first president, still hasn’t produced another, despite being one of the most literate and enterprising groups in the country.

But come to think of it, is Nigeria even ready for another Igbo president?

This is a country where money talks, “structure” wins elections, and competence or education often take the back seat.

Yet, the possibility still exists.

An Igbo can become president, not by literacy alone, but when:
• Igbos start using their brains for political bridge-building,
• They apply the same sharpness they use in business to master ethnic arithmetic,
• And yes, they must learn to play the Godfather game, not just criticize it.

Because this is Nigeria!!!
Where strategy beats sentiment, and power isn’t given… it’s taken.
