👏🏽 To our MVP Male 👏🏽

Zioranibuchim Tyshwan Victor is 6years old.
He hails from Imo State, Obowo Local Government Area.
Zioranibuchim is an enthusiastic individual.
He is an A student and is passionate about sport.
He is distinguished as a Math Wiz and is in Grade 2.
He started Taekwondo at the age of 2 and trains at Icon2 Martial Art Taekwondo Club.
He is in blue belt.

He has won two (2) medals;

Silver 🥈 medalist at the 2nd Talent Hunt Taekwondo Championship.

A Poomsae Bronze 🥉 medalist and a Kyorugi Gold 🥇 medalist at the 1st Biannual Taekwondo Championship (BTC), 2022.

He was also identified with the highest parameters for Kyorugi for age (5 - 7 YEARS CATEGORY) which qualified him for the Most Valuable Player male award 🏆 at the championship.

From the BEST TEAM at the 1st Biannual Taekwondo Championship (BTC) 🥋🏆

The BASIC SKILLS TAEKWONDO ACADEMY (BSTA) came into existence in the year 2014.
With a population strength of over a 100 students.
We are located at Aptcare centre, opposite UBA, Gado Nasko Road kubwa, Abuja.

BSTA Chief instructor is Raymond Tiamiyu and the Co-instructor is Temitayo Adewunmi.

BSTA have students of all belt categories.

The BSTA aim is to completely provide a diverse programme of sporting activities suitable for both kids, young men and women with an intention of giving, particularly disaffected vulnerable young people a sense of purpose, identity, achievement, not been victimized in the society and as well as nurturing individuals especially the younger ones for professional sport career.

Competitions attended are:

* CCSF Prix series 2018 & 2019, 2 times Best team back-to-back.

* Talent Hunt Taekwondo Championship, 2019 & 2021 respectively. Best team back-to-back (defending champion)

* 1st Begee Taekwondo Championship (we had the highest medal 2021 which qualified BSTA as the best team but was denied and given to the first runner up)

* Biannual Taekwondo Championship (BTC) Abuja 2022, were BSTA had the highest parameters qualifying them as the BEST TEAM of the tournament.
We got a total of 10 MEDALS (5 golds 🥇, 4 silvers 🥈 and 1 bronze 🥉).

Our position is always at the TOP!!

MEET OUR 1ST RUNNER-UP TEAM 🎉🏆
“BEEGEE TAEKWONDO ACADEMY”

Beegee Taekwondo Academy is a chain child of Master George Ben.
We are located at MOUNTAIN VIEW RESORT beside Glass church Arab Road kubwa.
Our aim is basically centered on catching them Young.
Every child in this modern age requires the best, and the Art of Taekwondo offers the best to any child.

After hosting her 1st edition of Beegee Taekwondo championship 3years ago, the Academy has gone into the limelight to producing talented children that has featured in so many championships and have won so many laurels.

We participated in the 1st Biannual Taekwondo Championship (BTC) at Old Parade Ground, Abuja in 2022 having a total of 8 medals (4 golds🥇, 2 silvers🥈 and 2 bronzes🥉).
At the end of the championship, We had the second highest parameters which qualified us as the 1ST RUNNER-UP TEAM at the tournament.

We will train harder to be the Best team and we will make positive efforts in achieving our aim.

Greetings Great Taekwondo Family,

REPORT ON THE 1ST UNDER - 15 BIANNUAL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP (BTC)

It has been a pleasure having this wonderful family throughout the year 2022. The report on BTC has been delayed due to the activity that occurred following the National Sport Festival 2022 and the festive season celebration. However, we are pleased to present our first report on the inaugural Biannual Taekwondo Championship.

The championship was held on November 26th, 2022. It began at 9:30 a.m. and ended at 6:40 p.m.

Sponsors, Masters, and Grandmasters (despite their hectic schedules), as well as coaches, athletes, and fans, graced the occasion for this we are grateful.

BTC championship was powered by Icon2 Sports, A tournament endorsed by the FCT Taekwondo Association.

Highlight of the tournament can be seen below:
❖A total of 157 registered and 156 athletes actively Participated in Poomsae, Kyorugi, or both.
❖An equipped medical team was present at the venue
❖A cross section of trained and experienced Referee with Volunteers for a swift coordination
❖Hygiene rules were adhered to
❖Light refreshment provided for all participants

Poomsae
The competition began at precisely 9:30 am with poomsae using the various age divisions. Please find the age category details below for your review.
Age 5 - 7.
Age 8 - 11.
Age 12 - 15.

Kyorugi
· Two courts were made available to ensure efficiency and timeliness
· The electronic scoring system was used for the scoring methodology
· The age category was rigorously followed throughout the competition.
Age 5 - 15

Recognitions
All gold, silver, and bronze medalists received medals and prizes.
Many factors were considered throughout the event, including agility, performance in both poomsae and kyorugi, the highest number of gold medals, the number of fights, and the skills displayed, among others.

Best Team / Club
BASIC SKILLS TAEKWONDO ACADEMY was found to have the highest parameters, qualifying them as the tournament's Best Team, followed by BEEGEE TAEKWONDO ACADEMY, which had the second highest parameters.

Most valuable players
Male: ZIORANIBUCHIM TYSHAWN VICTOR with the highest parameters as identified for age (5 - 7 YEARS CATEGORY)
Female: OBIEFUNA ITUNANYA with the highest parameters as identified for age (13 - 15 YEARS CATEGORY)

The aforementioned awards (trophies) will be presented to the respective individuals and teams at the BTC retreat on January 21, 2023.

Coaches
We appreciate coaches for bringing their expertise and unique flexibility to situations in order to advance taekwondo.

Super Parents / Sponsors
We appreciate your faith and courage, as well as your support for your children and BTC. Everyone's a winner in taekwondo. Standing on the mat, which they all did whether they won a medal or not, demonstrates that they are all champions and have courage in their person.

BTC will continue to provide you with greener opportunities to help promote the spirit of sport, confidence, skills, and better focus, as well as teach discipline and respect, among other things.

SPARRING (KYORUGI) - from age 5 - 15
All registered fighters shall be categorized on age and height basis.
Contest charts shall be done by the officials on this physical characteristics and NOT on the rank (belt colour) of the contestants..

INDIVIDUAL POOMSAE - from age 5 - 15

Age 5 - 7 : Taeguk il jang & Taeguk e jang.

Age 8 - 11 : Taeguk sam jang & Taeguk sa jang.

Age 12 - 15 : Taeguk oh jang & Taeguk yuk jang.
