The Fort Events is the official events arm of The Fort Institute, the pan-African youth leadership organisation transforming African youth into active and vibrant citizen-leaders. What happened at The Fort Awards 2025 was remarkable. What is coming in December 2026 will be unforgettable.

The Fort Awards is The Fort Institute’s flagship annual gathering. More than an awards ceremony, it is a summit, a celebration, and a reunion.

It is where Fortifiers from 58 countries and multiple cohorts come together. Where people who first met through a screen finally meet in person. Where twelve weeks of leadership formation become lifelong relationships.

This December, The Fort Awards returns with a renewed vision, a bigger platform, and an experience worthy of everything this community has become.

Le leadership est l'une des compétences les plus importantes dont toute personne ambitieuse a besoin, et la plupart des gens ne l'apprennent jamais de manière intentionnelle.

La Cohorte 7 du Programme de Développement du Leadership Fondamental (FLDC) de The Fort Institute est un programme de formation au leadership entièrement virtuel de 12 semaines, destiné aux jeunes Africains âgés de 15 à 35 ans, dispensé en anglais ou en français. Il est structuré autour de petites communautés d'apprentissage en direct, animées par des anciens élèves proches qui ont parcouru ce chemin avant vous. L'objectif ne se limite pas aux compétences. Il porte sur le caractère, le raisonnement éthique, la conscience de soi et la pensée institutionnelle dont l'Afrique a urgemment besoin.

Cohort 7 of the Foundational Leadership Development Course (FLDC) at The Fort Institute is a 12-week, fully virtual leadership formation programme for young Africans aged 15 to 35, delivered in English or French.
