A message from one of our participants - Zara from 🇧🇳
““Hellooooo 😘😘😘💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻… Warm greetings from Brunei 🇧🇳
I’m writing with immense gratitude following last week’s Tampin Trans Naning Ultra. Although I wasn’t able to complete the course due to falling ill before reaching the 30KM mark, I left with something far more powerful than a medal but an unforgettable experience of care, kindness and heroic support.
From the moment I began feeling unwell, your team sprang into action with such compassion and professionalism. I’ll never forget the young male marshall who reached me first followed by the incredibly kind lady who lent me her shoulder and gently rubbed my back as I struggled. And then came whom they address as Uncle William💪🏻… whose name I’ll never forget who carried me on his back with strength and grace. These marshals are true heroes in every sense of the word.
To the firemen who checked on my condition and swiftly coordinated my evacuation from the forest and to the ambulance crew who were already waiting outside. I felt completely safe and cared for. Your team’s concern and hospitality were deeply reassuring and I’m so thankful for every person involved.
Even the water stations were a highlight—well-stocked, welcoming and run by cheerful, dedicated crew. Every detail of the event reflected your commitment to excellence and runner wellbeing. Thanks to the 2 support crew ladies at Kem Ultra with tudong who helped massage me a bit & mentioned ‘badan dia banyak angin la…’ 😅
Though I’m frustrated and admittedly a little ashamed that I couldn’t finish the race, I’ve returned to Brunei fully recovered and back at work carrying with me a renewed determination. I will come back stronger and I’m setting my sights on conquering Trans Naning next year.
Thank you again for everything. I’m sorry I couldn’t catch all the names of those who helped me, but please know that each of them left a lasting impact. I hope to see all the marshals, crews and organizers again next year with a smile, a finish line photo and a story of redemption.
Bukan rezeki kali ini, tapi semangat tetap menyala. Jumpa lagi di Trans Naning!
