The Taiping International Youth Marching Band Festival

The Taiping Organising Committee is honoured to welcome one of Malaysia’s top marching bands, SMJK Nan Hwa Marching Band, to represent the nation at the Taiping International Youth Marching Band Festival 2026.

They will be performing at the Opening Ceremony Concert on 13 June, presenting a special 10-minute featured performance that we are truly looking forward to. It promises to be a powerful and memorable highlight of the evening.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Band Director Mr Tan Kan Thiam and the entire SMJK Nan Hwa Marching Band for their strong support, commitment, and invaluable contribution to the success of this festival.

The Liaison Officer (L.O.) Group under the Taiping Organising Committee plays a very important role. This year, the number of volunteers has increased by two to three times compared to last year, which is truly encouraging.
These volunteers serve wholeheartedly and with joy, supporting the Taiping International Youth Marching Band Festival without conditions. They are the first point of contact for overseas and local participating bands, and in many ways represent the warmest face of Taiping to all visitors.
They are not only volunteers, but also ambassadors of Taiping and Malaysia.
It is especially meaningful that Filipino mothers living in Taiping have also joined the L.O. team, and will personally welcome and host visiting bands from their own country. This reflects a beautiful spirit of connection, warmth, and community.
With sincere appreciation to all L.O. members, we wish you every success and a smooth and fulfilling reception experience.

The Hua Lian High School Military Band is one of Taiping’s most established and well-renowned bands. Welcome Sri Kuala Lumpur Wind Orchestra! 🎼

The Sri Kuala Lumpur Wind Orchestra, under the direction of Mr. Wan Heng Kai, will be joining The Taiping International Youth Marching Band Festival 2026!

The band is also preparing for a major milestone later this year — a concert at the prestigious Petronas Philharmonic Hall, one of Malaysia’s premier performance venues.

We look forward to welcoming these talented young musicians to Taiping on 13–14 June 2026.
