🌍 Selangor x West Java: Laying the Groundwork for SIBS@ASEAN 2026!

Invest Selangor Berhad has successfully concluded a strategic coordination visit to Bandung and Jakarta, marking an important milestone in the lead-up to the inaugural SIBS@ASEAN 2026 - a platform designed to bridge the dynamic economic ecosystems of Selangor and West Java.

Both regions stand as leading industrial and innovation hubs in their respective countries, and this engagement sets the foundation for a seamless, high-impact regional collaboration this July.

During the visit, our delegation engaged in key alignment sessions with strategic partners across government, finance, industry, and media, including; ANTARA News Agency, REBANA Metropolitan, Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan Provinsi Jawa Barat, Dinas Penanaman Modal dan PTSP Jawa Barat, Bank Jawa Barat, KADIN JABAR, CIMB Niaga, AGATE International & AGATE Bandung, Bisnis Indonesia Group, Radio Elshinta Bandung, and the Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta.

Through these strong cross-border collaborations, we aim to further strengthen regional supply chains, empower SMEs, and enhance global competitiveness of local businesses across ASEAN.

Selangor is taking its economic blueprint to Thailand & Vietnam 🇲🇾🤝🇹🇭🇻🇳

Invest Selangor recently conducted a strategic roadshow to Bangkok, Thailand and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to promote the upcoming Selangor International Business Summit 2026 (SIBS 2026), with the aim of strengthening ASEAN business linkages and positioning Selangor as a regional hub for investment, innovation, and trade collaboration.

The mission focused on promoting initiatives through engagements with key government agencies, trade promotion bodies, and business chambers, including the Embassy of Malaysia in Thailand, Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Malaysia Business Chamber Vietnam (MBC), and ITPC Ho Chi Minh City. These engagements were aimed at strengthening strategic partnerships and expanding regional cooperation networks.

It also aimed to encourage greater participation from regional investors, startups, SMEs, and industry players as exhibitors, delegates, and partners in SIBS 2026.

In addition, the programme explored collaboration opportunities in trade promotion, investment facilitation, innovation, and cross-border business matching, while enhancing ASEAN networking and strengthening Malaysia’s economic ties with Thailand and Vietnam.
