It’s the last day of the 46th Pesta Hoki USM-Penang International 2019! Every single team has worked so hard over the last 3 days to gain victory. Congratulations to all participating teams.

【It’s today!】

The largest 6-a-side and 7-a-side lawn hockey competition in Malaysia is just around the corner! We are so excited to start off the 46th Pesta Hoki USM-Penang International 2019 together with you.

Here’s some handy information that you should know about our pesta hoki:

➔ A hockey match usually lasts 10 minutes.
➔ For Men's category, each team plays with 5 field players and 1 goalkeeper. For Women's category, each team plays with 6 field players and 1 goalkeeper.
➔ Each goal is worth one point. The ball can only be touched with the flat side of the curved,
hardwood stick.
➔ All players must have an equal chance to play the ball. Players may not shield the ball using their body or stick.
➔ A player may not use the foot or leg to support the stick in order to resist an opponent.
➔ A player may not raise the stick in a dangerous or intimidating manner while approaching, attempting to play or stop the ball.
➔ A free hit is awarded to the non-offending side following an infraction and are usually taken at the spot the foul occurs.
➔ The ball must be stationary and the striker must push or hit it. The hitter may not replay the ball until another player has touched it.
➔ If the infraction is committed by a defender within the shooting circle, the attacking team is
awarded a penalty corner.
➔ A free hit is awarded to the non-offending side following an infraction and are usually taken at the spot the foul occurs.
