The best part about the work I do, is the people we meet while on the road!

We were intoduced to a very skilled videographer by our friend who invited us to Masjid Damansara Perdana, and while sharpening there, created this awesome video of us doing work!

Give him a Hollar if you need some video work done, he's got great energy, super cheerful, happy to help and an absolute legend!

The amazing people over at Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah invited us to sharpen their personal and public use blades in preparation for Eid al-Adha, and I must say, it was really great meeting the community and event organizing team!

I've been sharpening sembelih (slaughter) knives for more than 7 years, that I can remember, and every year, we do our best to accommodate and provide our services for the increasing requests of our highest refinement finishing.

I must say, this is usually a time of anxiety for me. While I'm confident in my skills as a sharpener, and am extremely particular in my work, I usually hold my breath till the day of Korban, waiting for feedback on the performance of my work. So far, year on year, we've gotten nothing but compliments, but yet, I wait with bated breath.

All this while, my intentions were to create a delicately balanced edge of refined smooth cutting finish and deep biting performance, to deliver as quick and painless cut possible. Since I do not partake in the ceremonies, I have no first hand experience, and as such, I rely on the experience of experts who do.

I recently had a chat with a long time customer who has over 20 years of experience in the field, and was told that the higher the refinement, the sharper the knife, the easier and more merciful the process of sacrifice. This sets my heart at ease... kinda, Korban is still more than a week away.
