On 27 November 2025, Mr. Atthakorn Sirilatthayakon, Minister of Tourism and Sports, presided over the 2/2025 Meeting of the Organizing Committee for the 33rd SEA Games 2025 and the 13th ASEAN Para Games 2025. The meeting was attended by Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT); Mrs. Prodpran Samanmit, Deputy Governor for Professional Sports and Boxing; Mr. Preecha Lalun, Deputy Governor for Elite Sports and Sports Science; Mr. Tanukiat Chanchum, Manager of the National Sports Development Fund; representatives from sports associations; and related officials. The meeting was held at Meeting Room 109, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Government House, and via video conference (Zoom Cloud Meetings).
The primary agenda item concerned the relocation of sports and competition venues for the 33rd SEA Games 2025 due to severe flooding in the southern region of Thailand, which caused damage and impacted readiness—particularly in Songkhla Province, one of the co-host cities for the Games scheduled from 9 to 20 December 2025.
A total of 10 sports originally scheduled in Hat Yai and Mueang Songkhla Districts, along with one sport in Chonburi Province, were approved for relocation as follows:
