它们的一生，比我们短。
短到我们还没准备好，它就已经走到了终点。

Their lives are shorter than ours—
so short that before we are ready,
they have already reached the end.

它可能很小，
小到能握在掌心。
也可能很大，
大到你要侧过身，才能抱住它。
It may be small enough
to fit in your palm,
or so big
you need to turn sideways just to hold it.
它可能会叫，会吠，会鸣；
也可能一生无声。
只是静静地，
陪在你身边，
把温度传给你，
让你知道：你不是一个人。
It may bark, chirp, or call—
or live its whole life in silence.
Quietly,
it stays beside you,
sharing its warmth,
reminding you: you are not alone.
它可能有毛，有羽，有鳞，有壳。
它可能在地上跑，在水里游，
在笼里跳，在你肩膀上停留。
It may have fur, feathers, scales, or shells.
It may run, swim, hop,
or rest upon your shoulder.
但无论它是什么模样，
当它离开的那一天，
留下的，都是同一种失去。
But no matter what it looks like,
the day it leaves
brings the same kind of loss.
是你伸出手，
却再也触碰不到的存在。
A presence
you reach for,
but can no longer touch.
那一天，它走了。
没有预告，没有道别。
有时候甚至来不及说一句：
谢谢你，陪过我。
That day, it left.
No warning, no goodbye.
Sometimes, not even enough time to say:
“Thank you for being with me.”
可它们活着的每一天，
都是全心全意的。
不计较昨天，不忧虑明天，
只是此刻，只是你。
Yet every day of their lives
is lived wholeheartedly.
No past, no future—
only this moment, only you.
这一场展览，
是为了所有曾经爱过、正在爱着，
或终将送别的小生命。
This exhibition is for all
who have loved, are loving,
or will one day have to say goodbye.
愿你奔向光明。
愿你在那里，没有病痛，没有恐惧，
只有蓝天与温柔的风。
May you run toward the light.
May there be no pain, no fear—
only blue skies and gentle winds.
而我们，会记得你。
And we will remember you.
