Through this Piano Festival and Competition, we aim to raise the musical standards within the country and region by providing opportunities for young musicians to perform before a panel of well-established international and local pianists and get constructive feedback from the adjudicators. This will also provide a platform for young musicians to perform in public and grow in their performing experience, as well as to promote and create awareness of classical piano music among the general public.

At just 12 years old, Chun-Ning Chen from Taiwan has already captivated audiences with a level of artistry, musical maturity, and technical brilliance far beyond her years.

Following her acclaimed debut recital at the Taipei National Recital Hall and numerous competition victories, Chun-Ning now brings her extraordinary musicianship to UCSI University for a special solo piano recital featuring masterworks by Chopin, Liszt, and Medtner.

This recital will showcase her remarkable interpretation of the complete Chopin Études Op. 10, alongside some of the most demanding and expressive works in the piano repertoire.

In our continued effort to champion new music, IPFC has collaborated with the Malaysian Composers Collective since 2020. This year, we proudly present two commissioned works by Malaysian composers Joshua Lau Jin Quan and Thean Yao Sheng, winners of the Free Hand Festival 2025.
