Short + Sweet Malaysia is one of Malaysia’s longest-running multi-genre festivals, helmed by Festival Director Dato’ Dr. Faridah Merican and Festival Artistic Director Joe Hasham OAM. The Festival is a hub to showcase aspiring talents in a highly creative, collaborative and professional environment. This innovative and fresh festival will feature ten-minute or less film, musical, dance, theater, s

tand-up comedy and song that showcase the best of established and emerging composers, lyricists, musical directors, writers, directors, actors, choreographers and dancers. We’re kicking off 2026 on an exciting note!

The world’s biggest little festival is returning and 2026 marks the 19th edition of Short+Sweet Malaysia, helmed by Festival Director Dato’ Dr. Faridah Merican and Artistic Director Joe Hasham OAM.

You can now submit your new work to premiere at Short+Sweet Malaysia 2026 in 6 categories:

How Does It Work?
