If you haven't tried making Ondeh-Ondeh from scratch, you’re missing out! 🥣 We had a Slovakia family cooking class today and the kids (and adults!) had so much fun getting messy with the dough.

Baba Wee came to me with an urgent request — and it involved a mountain of pandan leaves. 🌿

This is Bunga Rampai — a Peranakan ritual of blessing. A potpourri of finely sliced pandan leaves, fresh flowers, stangi perfume — mixed by hand, slowly, with intention.

It was Baba Wee’s final blessing to Uncle Hock, his last uncle.

In Peranakan tradition, Bunga Rampai blesses love, harmony, and peaceful journeys.

Some traditions speak when words fall silent.
