Hey folks, today is our final SHINE ON Showcase, designed for special needs talents. We believe every talent deserves the stage. This is our next mile in our endeavours to make the world a better place. We will be at our regular venue The Black Cat Café, a vegan cafe with unique blend of fusion and local delights. What a wonderful way to kick off SHINE ON Jamming in June! ❤️

Over three Saturday sessions, we watched 10 amazing talents share what they love. From singing, dancing, drumming, violin, keyboard, to recorder performances, every moment reminded us that every talent deserves a stage.

A big thank you to all the parents for your support, and to every performer for sharing your gifts with us. You truly left us smiling.

For the past five years, Krayon Asia has been working closely with individuals with special needs. During this time, we’ve had the chance to see their abilities in a very real way, how focused they are when they create, the care they put into small details, and the pride they carry when they complete something on their own.

It quickly became clear that their abilities go far beyond what is often assumed. Many are strong in arts and crafts, but that is only one part of the picture. We’ve also seen them sing, dance, play instruments, act, and recite poetry with a natural ease that often surprises people who are seeing it for the first time.

The challenge is not talent. It is visibility. Many of these performances and expressions remain within workshops or small circles, with very few opportunities to be seen by a wider audience. Dedicated platforms for them are still limited.

This is why we are starting a new initiative.

Krayon Asia is beginning a series of small showcases and solo performance opportunities, created specifically to give individuals with special needs a space to present their talents in public. This is just the beginning, but it is an important step in a larger direction.

Through this campaign, we hope to raise awareness and encourage more support from the community, organizations, and partners who believe in inclusion through action.

At the core of it is a simple belief: Every Talent Deserves a Stage.

For the past 5 years, we’ve had the privilege of walking alongside a community of disabled and special needs artisans. We’ve watched their focus, their precision, and that unforgettable, priceless smile when a piece is finally completed. But seeing their sense of self-worth and pride led us to a realization: Their talent deserves a bigger stage.
We are going "one more mile" to give our community a space they truly own. A space where they can showcase their creativity beyond the workshop—whether it’s a magic act, a song, a dance, a monologue, or a sketch.
