I had the pleasure of attending the Annual Prayer of Sri Saiva Munneswarar Temple and was truly honoured to once again be invited to join the temple community on this meaningful occasion.

As soon as I arrived, several members of the temple greeted me warmly and jokingly remarked, “YB, last year you came wearing a red outfit, this year it’s a different colour!” 😊

I was genuinely surprised and touched that they remembered such a small detail. I jokingly replied, “Even I can’t remember what colour I wore last year, but all of you still do!” Moments like these remind me that the relationship we have built over the years goes beyond that of an elected representative and the community—it is a bond of friendship and mutual respect that transcends race, religion and culture.

This is not my first time attending this event. I was also invited last year, and on this occasion, I was pleased to contribute RM2,000 to support the temple’s annual programme. In the past, the temple had also sought assistance for items such as tables and chairs, and my team and I did our best to help wherever possible.

During my speech, I reiterated my commitment to continue supporting meaningful efforts undertaken by places of worship throughout Seri Delima, regardless of faith or background. To me, the diversity of religions and cultures that we enjoy is not a difference that divides us, but a strength that enriches our society and brings our communities closer together. It is something we should cherish, celebrate and protect.

My sincere thanks to the temple management and the entire community for their warm hospitality and friendship. May we continue to strengthen the spirit of mutual respect, understanding and unity that makes Seri Delima such a special place for people of all backgrounds. ❤️

槟城卫塞节庆典 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐤 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 🪷

昨晚，我与首长YAB曹观友、妇女、家庭及社会发展部副部长YB林慧英、行政议员YB吴俊益，以及YB王宇航，一同出席由马来西亚佛教总会举办的槟城卫塞节庆典，并参与一年一度的卫塞节游行。

今年游行的主题是“资讯互联，智慧共生”。在资讯科技与人工智能快速发展的时代，资讯传播变得更快、更广，也提醒我们在使用科技时，更需要保持判断力与善念，让科技成为推动社会向好的力量。

今年共有23辆由各团体用心装饰的花车，以及22个佛教与慈善团体参与游行，场面热闹而庄严。

游行途中，也遇到了来自斯里德里玛区的佛光山花车，并与慧性法师简单交流。大家为这场庆典投入时间与心力，把每一辆花车都用心布置完成，也感受到了义工和团队背后的努力。

卫塞节不仅是一场庆典，更是一种提醒。在忙碌的生活中，愿我们都能多一分平静、多一分理解，也多一分善意。

Last night, I joined YAB Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development YB Lim Hui Ying, State EXCO YB Goh Choon Aik, and YB Wong Yuee Harng at the Malaysian Buddhist Association’s Penang Wesak Celebration, and took part in the annual Wesak Day procession.

This year’s theme, “Bridging Through Digital, Cultivating Wisdom Together”, feels especially relevant in today’s fast-moving digital and AI era. As information travels faster and wider than ever, it also reminds us of the importance of discernment and compassion in how we consume and share what we see online, so that technology can be a force for good in society.

The procession featured 23 beautifully decorated floats by various organisations, along with 22 Buddhist and welfare groups. The atmosphere was both vibrant and deeply respectful.

Along the route, I also came across the Fo Guang Shan float from Seri Delima and had a brief exchange with Venerable Hui Xing. It was heartening to see how much time and effort everyone had put into preparing each float, reflecting the dedication of volunteers and teams behind the scenes.

Wesak Day is more than just a celebration. It is a gentle reminder for us to pause amidst our busy lives, to be more mindful, more understanding, and more kind to one another.

🪷✨卫塞节快乐 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐤 𝐃𝐚𝐲 ✨🪷

每一年，我都不会错过爱莲玉佛教中心举办的卫塞节庆典，与大家一起欢庆这个殊胜而充满意义的日子。

致辞时，我和佛友们分享了一段自己的成长经历。小时候，母亲曾送我到佛教会的周日班学习佛法。感谢母亲当年的决定，让我从小接触佛法，也让我有机会将佛陀的智慧与教导，运用在日常生活以及服务社区的工作当中。

某种程度上来说，佛法塑造了今天的我。

在服务工作中，我们经常接触到许多正在经历痛苦的人。有的人面对贫穷，有的人面对疾病，也有人正在承受失去至亲的伤痛。看得多了，难免会让人思考：人生究竟有什么意义？

而这些年来，佛法与服务工作的历练，让我慢慢找到自己的答案。

人生的意义，不在于拥有多少，而在于能够为别人付出多少。

也许我们无法消除世间所有的痛苦，但我们可以选择成为别人的一道光。在别人需要帮助的时候伸出援手，在别人失落的时候给予关怀，在别人感到孤单的时候陪伴同行。

正因为如此，即使面对再多挑战，我们依然选择昂首前行，继续服务。因为当我们为别人带来一点温暖、一点希望的时候，也是在为自己的人生赋予意义。

昨晚，我也特别带来了《并肩同行》成绩报告册，与大家分享这些年来社区的发展成果和未来规划，希望让更多居民了解我们共同努力建设的社区愿景。

感谢爱莲玉佛教中心的邀请，也感谢所有为活动默默付出的法师、工作人员及义工朋友们。

愿佛陀的慈悲与智慧常驻人间，愿大家心中有光，脚下有路。

Every year, I make it a point not to miss the Wesak Day celebration organised by the Island Glades Buddhist Centre, and it’s always meaningful to be there with everyone to observe this special occasion together.

During my sharing, I spoke a little about my own journey. When I was young, my mother sent me to Sunday Dharma classes at a Buddhist association. I’m really grateful for that decision, because it introduced me early to Buddhist teachings and values that I still carry with me today in both life and public service.

In many ways, the Dharma has shaped who I am today.

In the course of serving the community, we often meet people going through difficult times. Some are struggling with poverty, some with illness, and others with the pain of losing loved ones. Over time, it naturally makes you reflect: what is life really about?

Through years of service and the guidance of Buddhist teachings, I’ve come to understand this in my own way.

Life is not about how much we have, but how much we can give.

We may not be able to take away all suffering in the world, but we can choose to be a light for others — to help when help is needed, to comfort when someone is down, and to simply be there when someone feels alone.

That’s why, even when challenges come, we keep going and keep serving. Because even small acts of kindness and hope can give deeper meaning to our lives as well.

Last night, I also brought along the “Our Journey” report card, highlighting the work and development in Seri Delima over the years, as well as what we hope to continue building together with the community.

Thank you to Island Glades Buddhist Centre for the kind invitation, and to all the monks, volunteers, and everyone who made the event a success.

May compassion and wisdom always be with us. Wishing everyone a peaceful and meaningful Wesak Day. 🙏🪷

Recently, Capybaras have become a sensation on social media, capturing the hearts of both children and adults with their calm and lovable personalities. And now, Penang gets to join the fun with the Capybara City Stroll pop-up experience! 🥰

Yesterday, I joined YB Lim Hui Ying in visiting the Capybara City Stroll pop-up experienceat 1st Avenue Penang.

It was lovely to see so many families, children and young people enjoying the exhibition together. Beyond the adorable Capybara characters, the exhibition creates a cheerful and welcoming space where people can spend quality time with one another and create lasting memories.

There are also many Penang-inspired elements incorporated into the displays and merchandise, allowing both locals and visitors to discover a little more about our city's unique heritage and charm through creativity and art.

Congratulations to KOMIC for bringing this wonderful exhibition to Penang. The exhibition also features interactive games and activities, making it a fun experience for visitors of all ages. It's always happy to see creative initiatives that bring people together while adding colour and vibrancy to our city.

最近，卡比巴拉在社交媒体上爆红，凭着呆萌可爱的模样，无论是大人还是小朋友都被它俘虏了。现在，《卡比巴拉城市漫游》快闪体验活动也来到槟城！

日前，我与YB林慧英一同参观了位于1st Avenue Penang的《卡比巴拉城市漫游》快闪体验活动。

现场除了有许多可爱的卡比巴拉打卡装置，也设有互动游戏和体验活动，吸引不少家庭和年轻人前来参与，十分热闹。

特别的是，活动中融入了许多槟城元素。无论是场景设计还是周边商品，都巧妙结合了本地文化与古迹特色，让民众和游客在参与活动的同时，也能进一步认识槟城的独特魅力。

恭喜KOMIC将这个创意十足的活动带到槟城。这类活动不仅丰富了城市生活，也为家庭和朋友提供了一个相聚交流的空间，让更多人感受到槟城多元且充满活力的一面。

Spent a truly meaningful and heartwarming afternoon at the Japanese Garden together with families during the Garden Hi-Tea Programme organised by JPWK Seri Delima in conjunction with Parents’ Day 😃

With picnic mats laid out under the open sky, laughter filling the air, and families spending precious time together, it was a beautiful reminder that some of life’s most meaningful moments are often the simplest ones. ❤️🧺

One of the sweetest parts of the day was seeing the children take part in cake-making and food preparation activities. Beyond the fun and excitement, it was heartwarming to see them experience firsthand the effort, patience, and love that parents quietly pour into caring for their families every single day.

In the midst of our busy lives, moments like these remind us to slow down, appreciate our loved ones, and cherish the little memories that one day become our most beautiful treasures. 💕✨

上个周末，我参与了由斯里德里玛区槟城妇女及家庭发展委员会配合双亲节举办的公园野餐活动，在日本花园度过了一段非常温馨又有意义的时光 😃

大家在草地上铺上野餐垫，一边聊天一边吃东西，其实生活里最珍贵的幸福，往往就是这些简单却真实的时刻 ❤️🧺

其中一个让我觉得特别暖心的环节，是看到小朋友们一起参与制作蛋糕和准备食物。在欢乐体验的过程中，他们也亲身体会到，父母平日为家庭付出的耐心、用心与爱，其实都藏在生活里的每一个小细节中 💕

在忙碌的生活节奏里，这样的活动也提醒着我们，别忘了放慢脚步，好好珍惜身边的人。因为很多看似平凡的小瞬间，往后都会成为最美好的回忆 ✨

🚨𝐈𝐒𝐔 𝐊𝐄𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐍 𝐊𝐀𝐁𝐄𝐋 & 𝐊𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐍 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐔𝐃𝐔𝐊 🚧电缆盗窃及居民安全问题

Masalah kecurian kabel dan manhole TM terbuka semakin membimbangkan. Keadaan ini bukan sahaja menjejaskan infrastruktur awam, malah turut mengundang risiko keselamatan kepada pengguna jalan raya, khususnya penunggang motosikal. ⚠️

Saya memandang serius perkara ini. Berdasarkan jawapan rasmi yang saya bangkitkan dalam Sidang DUN Pulau Pinang:
📌 2024 – 110 kes kecurian kabel tembaga direkodkan dengan nilai kerugian sebanyak RM2.89 juta
📌 2025 – 103 kes direkodkan dengan nilai kerugian sebanyak RM3.42 juta
📌 Januari – Mac 2026 – 28 kes direkodkan dengan nilai kerugian sebanyak RM289,384
Saya juga telah membangkitkan persoalan berkaitan jumlah tangkapan dan pendakwaan bagi kes kecurian kabel di Sidang DUN.

Berdasarkan data rasmi:
👮 2024 – 176 tangkapan dibuat dan 75 individu telah didakwa di mahkamah
👮 2025 – 181 tangkapan dibuat dan 71 individu telah didakwa di mahkamah
👮 Januari – Mac 2026 – 28 tangkapan dibuat dan 7 individu telah didakwa di mahkamah

Susulan isu ini, saya telah mengadakan perjumpaan bersama Pegawai Rangkaian TM Bayan Baru, En. Saad bagi mendapatkan penjelasan lanjut serta tindakan susulan.

✅ Tindakan yang telah saya ambil:
🔹 Memohon pihak TM mengeluarkan kabel-kabel lama yang tidak lagi digunakan bagi mengurangkan risiko kecurian.

🔹 Memohon pihak TM menutup serta membuat pengedapan (seal/simen) terhadap manhole tertentu sebagai langkah segera bagi mengelakkan kejadian berulang.

🔹 Memohon tindakan pencegahan dipercepatkan kerana isu ini semakin membimbangkan penduduk.

🔹 Pihak TM turut memaklumkan bahawa mereka sedang bekerjasama dengan pihak Polis D9 bagi membantu siasatan kes berkaitan. 👮🏻‍♂️

🔹 Kerja-kerja menyimen dan menutup beberapa manhole akan dimulakan minggu hadapan sebagai tindakan awal sementara menunggu proses serta kelulusan lanjut.

Isu keselamatan awam bukan perkara kecil. Saya akan terus memantau perkara ini dan memastikan tindakan susulan diambil demi keselamatan serta kesejahteraan penduduk Seri Delima. 🙏🏻

⚡ 电缆盗窃问题与居民安全 🚧
电缆盗窃及 TM 地下电缆井（Manhole）打开的问题日益令人担忧。这不仅影响公共基础设施运作，也对道路使用者，尤其是摩托车骑士，带来安全隐患。⚠️

我严正看待此问题。根据我在槟州议会提出的问题及官方回复：
📌 2024年 —— 共发生110宗电缆盗窃案件，涉及损失约289万令吉
📌 2025年 —— 共发生103宗案件，涉及损失约342万令吉
📌 2026年1月至3月 —— 已记录28宗案件，损失约28万9千令吉

我也在州议会追问涉及电缆盗窃案件的逮捕及提控数据。根据官方数据显示：
👮 2024年 —— 176人被逮捕，其中75人已被提控上法庭
👮 2025年 —— 181人被逮捕，其中71人已被提控上法庭
👮 2026年1月至3月 —— 28人被逮捕，其中7人已被提控上法庭
针对此问题，我已与 TM Bayan Baru 网络官员 En. Saad 会面，以进一步了解情况并商讨后续行动。

✅ 我已采取的行动：
🔹 要求 TM 移除不再使用的旧电缆，从源头减少偷窃目标。
🔹 要求 TM 尽快封闭及加固部分地下电缆井（Manhole），避免类似事件持续发生。
🔹 要求相关单位加快落实预防措施，以回应居民的关注与担忧。
🔹 TM 方面也说明，目前正与警方 D9 单位合作调查相关案件。👮🏻‍♂️
🔹 部分地下电缆井的封闭及加固工程预计将于下周展开，作为短期应对措施。

公共安全绝非小事。我会持续跟进此课题，确保相关单位采取进一步行动，共同保障斯里德里玛居民的安全与公共设施管理。🙏🏻

【𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐇 高空抛物事件】

Baru-baru ini, saya telah menerima beberapa aduan berkaitan insiden pembuangan objek dari tingkat atas di Greenlane Heights Blok H. Situasi ini semakin membimbangkan apabila dua buah kenderaan dilaporkan mengalami kerosakan akibat dihempap objek yang dibuang dari atas, sekali gus menyebabkan penduduk berasa tidak selamat dan bimbang dalam menjalani rutin harian mereka.

Pada pagi ini, saya telah mengadakan sidang media berhubung perkara ini dan menggesa agar perbuatan berbahaya serta tidak bertanggungjawab ini dihentikan dengan segera.

Perbuatan membuang objek dari bangunan tinggi bukanlah isu kecil. Objek seperti botol, kaca, batu-bata atau apa-apa barangan yang jatuh dari tempat tinggi boleh menyebabkan kecederaan serius, malah boleh meragut nyawa. Sebuah komuniti kediaman yang aman tidak sepatutnya diletakkan dalam keadaan berisiko akibat tindakan seperti ini.

Di bawah Kanun Keseksaan, perbuatan sedemikian boleh disiasat di bawah beberapa peruntukan, antaranya:

Seksyen 336 – Perbuatan yang membahayakan nyawa atau keselamatan diri orang lain

Seksyen 337 – Menyebabkan kecederaan akibat perbuatan yang membahayakan

Seksyen 427 – Khianat sehingga menyebabkan kerosakan harta benda

Jika disabitkan kesalahan, pelaku boleh dikenakan denda, hukuman penjara, atau kedua-duanya sekali.

Saya sentiasa berpendirian bahawa isu seperti ini perlu ditangani melalui pendekatan “3E”:

Pendidikan (Education)

Penguatkuasaan (Enforcement)

Kejuruteraan / penambahbaikan fasiliti dan pengurusan (Engineering)

Saya menyeru kepada mana-mana pihak yang terlibat agar menghentikan perbuatan ini dengan serta-merta. Saya juga ingin merakamkan penghargaan kepada pihak polis atas siasatan dan tindakan susulan yang sedang dijalankan.

Penduduk juga dinasihatkan supaya segera melaporkan sebarang aktiviti mencurigakan atau berbahaya kepada pihak pengurusan bangunan atau pihak polis.

Pejabat saya akan terus memantau perkara ini dengan teliti demi memastikan keselamatan dan kesejahteraan komuniti sentiasa terpelihara.



近日，我连续接获几个关于高空抛物事件的投报。这次更有两辆车被砖头砸中，导致居民人心惶惶，出入都感到不安与担忧。

今天一早，我针对 Greenlane Heights Block H 的高空抛物事件召开记者会，并严正要求相关人士立即停止这类危险且不负责任的行为。

高空抛物从来不是小事。无论是水瓶、玻璃瓶、砖块或任何物品，从高楼坠下都可能造成严重伤害，甚至危及生命。一个原本安宁的社区，不应该让居民每天出门都提心吊胆。

根据《刑事法典》（Kanun Keseksaan），相关行为可在以下条文下被调查：
第336条文：危及他人生命或人身安全的行为。
第337条文：因危险行为导致他人受伤。
第338条文：因危险行为导致严重伤害。
第427条文：蓄意破坏并造成财物损失。

若罪成将面对罚款、坐牢、或两者兼施。

面对这类问题，我一向坚持以“3E”方式来处理：
- Enforcement（执法）
- Education（教育）
- Engineering（设施改善）

在此，我严正呼吁任何涉及危及社区安全的行为立即停止，不论是高空抛物或任何不负责任的举动。警方也正进行进一步调查与跟进。

同时，我也呼吁居民，如果发现任何可疑或危及安全的情况，请第一时间向管理层及警方投报。

斯里德里玛州议员服务中心将持续跟进事件进展，确保问题得到妥善处理。
