This page is about the annual Western Outdoor News/Los Cabo Tuna Jackpot Tournament held each year the first Wednesday through Saturday of November. It is based at the Tesoro hotel and is a Calcutta type of tourney, meaning you can enter at a basic entry fee or enter daily optionals in which you compete with only those teams who enter all those jackpots. Therefore it it a very reasonably priced event, but at the higher end, there is a lot of money at stake. There is also a charity effort each year. Our charity this year is again SmilesInternationalFoundation.org.

The Western Outdoor News and Cabo Tuna Jackpot team is extremely saddened by the passing of Tracy Ehrenberg.

There was nobody else like Tracy. A one-of-kind matriarch, friend, and a force to be reckoned with on the VHF radio come tournament time. The Sportfishing community has lost a legend.
