Unity Food Fest empowers communities to enhance their personal well-being and ultimately facilitate the shift to a more productive capacity through:

1. Education- The upper limits on the capacity of any given community is not known — thus aspirations are to be taken seriously.

2. Collaboration- A community is best served by collaborative efforts.

3. Resource Security- Community food security is

defined as a situation in which all residents obtain a safe, culturally acceptable, and nutritionally adequate diet through a food system that maximizes community self-reliance and social justice.
