The International charity Fly With Ukraine balloon festival took place during the month from August 24 to September 24.
We managed to collect and transfer 6500 euros for military aid to the Ukrainian army to United24.
It was possible to do this thanks to the support of the Ukrainian Aeronautical Society public organization, the director of the union Сергей Скалько, who defends Ukraine in the armed forces, and pilots who made charity flights:
Herve Maucci from France, who was the first to make a charity flight and donated a record 3000 euros.
Ģirts Vilks from Latvia, who together with pilots Arnis Miķelsons, Martins Brigis, Kristaps Frickauss, Aivars Vaičuks organized the balloon festival in Sigulda.
The couple Seth Bailey and Katherine Bailey from Canada, who were among the first to agree to participate in the festival, being on another continent.
Jeroen Koskamp from the Netherlands, who has been of great help to us.
Evtim Stefanov from Bulgaria, Greavesy PG from Great Britain and Aerolux Moldova from Moldova, who made charity flights and raised the flags of Ukraine in the sky.
This is also Eliezer Adrian from Romania, who will make a charity flight as soon as the weather conditions are favorable and the amount of aid will be even greater.
We have sent you thank you gifts that will arrive in the mail.
We also received 174 euros from the sale of festival souvenirs and 204 euros from the spectators who attended the charity flights. 994 euros were spent on the organization of the festival (this is advertising in the countries where we were looking for passengers, design of advertising materials, website, translations of texts, production of printing and souvenir products, international mailing of souvenirs, etc.).
The charity balloon festival is a response to Russia's aggression against Ukraine and the entire civilized world. Aid should not stop until the war is over.
