OPEN CALL | TiDF is among the most important documentary festivals in Europe and an Oscars® documentary feature qualifying festival, celebrating the art of documentary via a rich program of films, events, initiatives and the Agora Doc Market, a lively hub for film professionals.

The Festival has four competition sections: Feature Length International Competition, Newcomers International Competition, >>Film Forward International Competition and Immersive: All around cinema International Competition.

Submission dates are as follows:

🦜Early bird submissions are open until September 18th, 2026 with an entry fee of 40 euros for each submission.

🫡 From September 19th on, submissions will be open until November 30th, 2026 with an entry fee of 60 euros.

🕑The deadline for submissions is November 30th, 2026.

🏆Please note that the film that wins the Golden Alexander award will automatically be eligible to submit for Academy Awards consideration in the Documentary Feature category.

◤2027 FIPADOC INTERNATIONAL PITCHES: CALL FOR PROJECTS

Fund your project! Now you can be among the 24 teams selected to pitch at the Fipadoc International Pitches and present your next documentary to a large group of international funders, distributors and co-producers.

If you are selected to pitch at Fipadoc, you will take part in an online booster workshop before coming to the pitch, run by international pitching experts to sharpen your pitch strategy and presentation. The Fipadoc International Pitches conclude with an awards ceremony celebrating the 24 selected projects.

📅Deadline: October 2, 2026

🌍 The 2027 edition focus highlights the Black Sea countries! Filmmakers from Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine benefit from a discount on their submission, and filmmakers from Palestine can submit their project for free.
