During the festival, we received questions about how to support the festival and its organizers. For us, the best support is your participation. A family of our volunteers was involved in an accident, and the head of the family ended up in the intensive care unit.
We would be grateful if you could transfer any amount that our guests intended to donate to the festival organizers’ social projects to Ekaterina’s account and support the volunteers during this difficult time.

Во время фестиваля мы получали вопросы о том как поддержать фестиваль и его организаторов. Дла нас лучшая поддержка это ваше участие. Семья наших волонтеров попала в аварию и глава семьи оказался в реанимации.
Мы будем благодарны, если любую сумму, которую наши гости хотели пожертвовать на социальные проекты организаторов фестиваля вы переведёте на счёт Екатерины и поддержите добровольцев в трудной жизненной ситуации.

⚔️ “The Sword of Roland” Tournament ⚔️

In medieval culture, Roland symbol of strength, honor and the protection of the city.
Every knight once faces their very first duel. Here, that moment belongs to children. Participants were divided by age (7–17) and went through qualifying battles to reach the finals.
With soft weapons and full protection — but very real excitement before each fight.
And this is where you truly see them open up: some learn to handle their nerves, some push themselves to go all the way, and some are simply trying it for the very first time.
This isn’t about winning.
It’s about the experience that stays with you.

🎭 Count of May 2026 — Parade

The parade is the beginning of the festival — the moment when everyone comes together.

Some choose the image of a knight,

others — a noble lady,

and some simply wear a costume they’ve long dreamed of trying on.

It’s a chance to step out of everyday life for a while,

let go of seriousness,

and allow yourself to be part of your own little fairytale.

And it feels like, in moments like these,

the city becomes a world where you believe in magic again.

Nu ir noslēdzies projekts „Maija Grāfa svētki 2626”. Pateicoties mūsu brīvprātīgo un aktīvistu centībai, 23. maijā mums izdevās šo pasaku pārvērst realitātē. Ziniet, bez jums šis brīnums nebūtu iespējams! Jūs iedvesmojāt un atbalstījāt visu komandu, kā arī ieguldījāt savu mazumiņu maģijas festivāla veidošanā.
25. maijā notika noslēguma tikšanās, kurā dalījāmies ar iespaidiem, jautriem stāstiem un aizkustinošiem mirkļiem, kā arī atzīmējām projekta noslēgumu.

And so the "Count of May 2626" project has come to an end. Thanks to the hard work of our volunteers and activists, we were able to turn this fairy tale into reality on 23 May. Please know that without you, this miracle would not have been possible! You inspired and supported the whole team and added your own touch of magic to the creation of the festival.
On 25 May, we held our final meeting, where we shared our impressions, funny stories and touching moments with one another, and celebrated the completion of the project.

2026 gada 23. maijā festivālā “Maija Grāfa svētki 2626” tika paziņoti svētku galvenie varoņi — Maija Grāfs un Maija Grāfiene! 👑

Par tiem kļuva Sandris Petrosjans un Darja Odincova!

Maija Grāfa tituls tika izcīnīts bruņinieku turnīrā, apliecinot savu drosmi, izturību un cīņas garu.
Savukārt savu Maija Grāfieni izvēlējās pats turnīra uzvarētājs Sandris.

No šīs dienas titula ieguvēji uz veselu gadu kļūst par Rīgas mīlestības, labklājības un auglības simboliem, nesot sev līdzi svētku spožumu un pavasara enerģiju.

On May 23, 2026, at the “Count of May 2626” festival, the main stars of the celebration were announced — the Count and Countess of May! This year, the titles were awarded to Sandris Petrosjans and Darja Odincova.

The title of Count of May was granted for winning the knight tournament, proving his courage, endurance, and fighting spirit. Meanwhile the suitable candidate for the Countess of May title was personally chosen by Sandris.

From this day forward, the title holders will serve as symbols of Riga’s love, prosperity, and bountifulness for a full year, bringing with them the splendor of the festival and the energy of spring.

We warmly congratulate our Count and Countess of May!
May this year be filled with joy and memorable moments for them, and may their beauty and energy inspire us all!
