🎞 One of the largest contemporary art centers in Paris – the Centre Pompidou – opened a retrospective of Baltic poetic documentary cinema on Wednesday, January 7. The opening screening featured Juris Podnieks’ film "Is It Easy to Be Young?" (1986), restored by "Locomotive Classics".
📽 The program curator, French film scholar Arnaud Hée, expressed his delight that the screening attracted a full house and was received with great enthusiasm, while also praising the outstanding quality of the restoration.
📣 “It is a great achievement of the "Locomotive Classics" team that "Is It Easy to Be Young?" has been restored to such excellent quality and is appreciated beyond Latvia. I am delighted with our collaboration and with the restored Latvian films,” says Dace Bušante, Head of the Latvian State Archives of Audiovisual Documents.
The program includes 17 classic Latvian films from the collection of the Latvian State Archives of Audiovisual Documents, including two more restored by “Locomotive Classics”: Ivars Kraulītis’ "White Bells" (1961) and Herz Frank’s "Ten Minutes Older" (1978).
🎞 Vienā no lielākajiem mūsdienu mākslas centriem Parīzē – Pompidū centrā (Centre Pompidou) trešdien, 7. janvārī, tika atklāta Baltijas poētiskā dokumentālā kino retrospektīva, atklāšanas seansā demonstrējot Jura Podnieka filmu 'Vai viegli būt jaunam?” (1986), kas restaurēta “Locomotive Classics”.
📽 Programmas kurators, franču kinozinātnieks Arno Hī (Arnaud Hée) pauda prieku par to, ka filma pulcējusi pilnu zāli interesentu un uzņemta ar lielu entuziasmu, kā arī īpaši uzteica restaurācijas kvalitāti.

Programmā iekļautas 17 Latvijas kino klasikas filmas no Latvijas Valsts kinofotofonodokumentu arhīva krājuma, tostarp vēl divas, kas restaurētas "Locomotive Classics" - Ivara Kraulīša “Baltie zvani” (1961) un Herca Franka “Vecāks par desmit minūtēm” (1978).
