Hi, I'm Giuliana Prucca, and I'm an independent writer, researcher, curator, and publisher, founder of AVARIE, a Paris-Berlin art book press.
I invite you to my workshop which is titled “Displacement: from time-image to book-space”. It's a thinking lab on independent publishing for anyone curious about the book as an artistic and curatorial practice. Three intensive days of open discussion on translating time and movement into visual space through the dynamic montage of mixed media. Through cinema, photography, performances, sound recordings, texts, we will explore how images, archives, and editing processes can deconstruct narratives and challenge representation.
Participants are invited to bring their own work – prints, digital files, ideas, notes, and visual or literary references – leading to group layout sketches and a collective review that foster collaborative dialogue.
The workshop is in English and open to all levels. For those who consider the book as a platform for experimentation – and want to publish it their own way, outside the mainstream.
