The Association is affiliated and has reciprocal agreements internationally. It is affiliated to the Federation Cynologique International the Asia Kennel Union, the Japan Kennel Club,the Kennel Club England and the American Kennel Club. The KASL pedigrees are accepted by all Kennel Clubs throughout the world.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. M.K Bernard Lalantha Fernando, beloved father of Mr. Viraj Fernando, President of The Kennel Association of Lanka, on 5th June 2026.

On behalf of the Executive Committee, members, and the entire canine community, we extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to Mr. Viraj Fernando and his family during this time of great loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they mourn the passing of a devoted father and cherished family member.

Breeders Awareness Program - Kegalle 2026

We are pleased to share highlights from our recent Awareness Program for Breeders, successfully organized in the Kegalle District under the guidance of Night Howlers Kennel, Shane & Shawn Animal Hospital, Royal Canin Sri Lanka, and The Kennel Association of Lanka.

This valuable session brought together dedicated breeders, along with the participation of esteemed veterinary doctors Dr. Sanjay Wasala and Dr. Supun Samal, as well as the KASL President, Mr. Viraj Fernando, fostering knowledge-sharing and responsible breeding practices.

A special note of appreciation goes to Menaka Aluthgamage for the excellent organization of this event and for bringing together the Kegalle District breeder community.

We look forward to continuing our mission of educating and supporting breeders across the country.
