𝗚𝗮𝘄𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗻𝗮 𝟮.𝟰 – Final Performance at the United States-Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission

Our final performance took place at the United States - Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission, Colombo, hosted by EducationUSA Sri Lanka. The evening brought together a wonderful mix of audience members and artists from diverse backgrounds, making it a truly inspiring experience.

Our sincere thanks to Dr. Patrick McNamara, Isa, Shanaka, and the entire Fulbright team for their generous support and warm hospitality. Special thanks to Denham, Pahan and Park Studio for capturing the audio. A meaningful end—not a full stop, but a comma—to a conversation we set out to begin.

Our third performance took place at Kopi Kade Ratnapura - Nalanda Innovation Hub, Rathnapura. Nalanda Innovation Hub, envisioned by the Nalanda Ellawala Foundation, is a dynamic space where diverse individuals come together to learn, test ideas, and create meaningful solutions.

This performance was made possible through the dedicated coordination of Janitha Dikshan. Our sincere gratitude to Shehan Obeysekara, Uvindu Perera, and Devin Nimthaka for beautifully capturing the spirit of the event, and special thanks to our travel partner Buddhika Chathuranga for safely taking us throughout the tour.

Our second performance took place at Alakamandawa Eco Space, a self-sustaining creative space in Udawalawa that brings together the local arts community. The space collaborates with its partners, Alakamanda Art Academy and 𝐊 𝐀 𝐇 𝐀 𝐓 𝐀, both founded by Vipula Vishvanath, to foster artistic exchange and community engagement.

A heartfelt thank you to Vipula Vishwanath for generously hosting us, and to Win Kularathne for beautifully documenting the performance as our photography and videography partner. Special thanks to the entire Alakamandawa community for their support with the pre-event arrangements and for creating such a beautiful venue, complete with thoughtfully designed decorations and a stunning backdrop.

We kicked off the Gaweshana 2 tour with our first performance at Millennium Art (MiAC), Oruwala.

A heartfelt thank you to Pala Pothupitiya for generously providing the space, and to Pudam Perera for beautifully capturing the moments. 🌿🎶 ගවේෂණ (Gaweshana) සංගීතමය හමුවීම 'ආලකමන්දාව' සොබාදම් අවකාශයේදී...

කලාව සහ සොබාදහම එකිනෙක මුසුවන, මිනිස් මනස සුවපත් කරන උඩවලව Alakamandawa Eco Space වෙත අපූර්ව සංගීතමය ගවේෂණයක් රැගෙන එන්නට අප සූදානම්.

ඇමරිකානු ජාතික බහු-ක්ෂේත්‍රීය ශිල්පිනී ඉලානා මැක්නමාරා ගේ Viola වාදනය හා ස්වර දහරා, ප්‍රවීණ ශ්‍රී ලාංකීය සංගීතවේදී නුවන් ගුණවර්ධන ගේ Trumpet, Trombone සහ සාම්ප්‍රදායික හක්ගෙඩි වාදනය සමඟ මුසුවෙමින්, හුදු විනෝදාස්වාදයෙන් එහා ගිය ගැඹුරු සමාජීය සහ පරිසරවේදී සංවාදයකට අපව රැගෙන යනු ඇත.

🌊 🐘 මුහුද, වනාන්තරය, ශබ්ද දූෂණය සහ මිනිස්-අලි ගැටුම වැනි සොබාදහමේ දැවෙන තේමාවන්, නිදහස් ක්ෂණික නිර්මාණකරණය (Free Improvisation) ඔස්සේ සංගීතමය අත්දැකීමක් බවට පත්වන මේ සොඳුරු සැඳෑවට ඔබ සැමට විවෘතව ඇරයුම් කරමු!
