2025 කන්ද උඩරට ඇසළ පෙරහර මහා මංගල්ලයට පූර්වාභිමත්ව සතර කෝරළයේ දී කප් කැපේ.

ඓතිහාසික කන්ද උඩරට ඇසළ පෙරහර පැවැත්වීම වෙනුවෙන්, පුරාණ චාරිත්‍රානුකූලව කප් සිටුවීම සඳහා කප කැපීම රාජ්‍ය වර්ෂ 2025 ක් වූ ඇසළ මස 24 වෙනි දින හෙවත් අද අලුයම යෙදුණු සුබ මොහොතින් සබරගමු පුරවරයේ ඓතිහාසික අළුත්නුවර දී සිදු කෙරිණ. එය සිදු කෙරුණේ, මහනුවර ශ්‍රී මහා විෂ්ණු දේවාලයේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙනි. අලුත්නුවර, ශ්‍රී දැඩිමුණ්ඩ දේවාලය වෙත හස්තිරාජයා පිට හේවිසි තූර්ය වාදන මධ්‍යයේ ගෙන ආ කප පුද පූජා පවත්වා, අනතුරුව පෙරහරින් මහනුවර ශ්‍රී මහා විෂ්ණු දේවාලය දක්වා රැගෙන එන ලදුව, එය අද පස්වරුවේ සිව්මහා දේවාල වෙත බෙද‍ාදෙනු ලබයි. හෙට (ජූලි 25) පෙරවරුවේ එම දේවාලයන්හී කප් සිටුවා, අභ්‍යන්තර දේවාල පෙරහර ආරම්භ කිරීමට නියමිතයි.

සියවස් 3ක දුරාතීතයේ පටන් ඉටුකරනු ලබන මේ පෞරාණික චාරිත්‍රය, ‘කප’ යනුවෙන් හඳුන්වන්නේ කණුවයි. “කණුවක් සිටුවා කැපවෙමි” යන අර්ථයෙන් “කප් සිටුවීම” එදා සිට අද දක්වා චාරිත්‍රානුකූලව පවත්වාගෙන එයි. මහනුවර ඇසළ පෙරහර උදෙසා කප් සිටුවීමට සුදුසු නැකැත් ශ්‍රී දළදා මාලිගාව මඟින් පිළියෙල කර දෙන අතර, මහනුවර නාථ, විෂ්ණු, කතරගම හා පත්තිනි යන සතර මහා දේවාලයන් විසින් කප් සිටුවීම සිදු කරති.

To mark the beginning of the Kandy Esala Perahera Festival 2025, the chanting of the ‘Kap’ takes place in the Sathara Koralaya.

Before the commencement of the historic Kandy Esala Perahera, the Kap chanting was performed in accordance with ancient customs for the installation of the Kap, at the auspicious time today, in the month of Esala of the state year 2025, at the historic Aluthnuwara in the Sabaragamuwa region.
This was carried out under the leadership of the Sri Maha Vishnu Devalaya of Kandy.

The Kap, brought amidst the sounds of Hevisi drums and trumpet music, was first offered in ritual worship at the Sri Dedimunda Devalaya, Aluthnuwara, and then taken in procession to the Sri Maha Vishnu Devalaya, Kandy.

This evening, the Kap will be distributed to the four main devalayas.
Tomorrow (July 25), at the auspicious time, the Kap will be planted at those devalayas, marking the commencement of the inner temple processions.

This ancient ritual, practiced for over three centuries, is known as "Kap", meaning a pole. The expression "planting a pole to devote" gives rise to the term Kap Situwima (Kap planting or chanting), a tradition that has continued from the past to the present day.

For the Kandy Esala Perahera, the auspicious times for Kap installation are determined by the Sri Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic), and the four main Devalayas of Kandy Natha, Vishnu, Kataragama, and Paththini - carry out the Kap chanting accordingly.

මනහර දස දිනක් කන්ද උඩරට ජීවමාන දළදා දෙව්ලොව, පහන් හිතින් විඳගත් සාධුජන නමස්කාර මධ්‍යයේ පෙරහර කර එහි සමාප්තිය දහවල් පෙරහරින් මෙසේ සනිටුහන් විය.

නිකිණි පුරහඳ පෑයූ මහානීය රාත්‍රියේ වීදිසැරූ මහ රන්දෝලියෙන් පසු, එලඹුනු අළුයම් කාලයේ පෙරහරින් සධාතුක කරඬු වහන්සේ අස්ගිරි ගෙඩිගේ විහාරයේ තැම්පත්කොට, අනතුරුව සිව් දේවාල ගැටඹේ දියකපනා තොටේ දී දියකපා, දහවල් 2.16 ට යෙදුන සුබ නැකතින් දිවා පෙරහර අස්ගිරි ගෙඩිගේ විහාරයෙන් පිටත්ව මහනුවර වීදි සංචාරය කරන ලදී. සිංහරාජා ඇතු දහවල් පෙරහරේ සධාතුක පෙරහර කරඬු වහන්සේ වැඩමවා සවස 4.42 ට යෙදි තිබූ මංගල නැකත් සුබ මුහුර්තයෙන් දළදා මැඳුරතේ මහා වාහල්කඩ අභියස සඳගලෙන් නැවත ගෙවදින ලදී.

ලක් ඉතිහාසයේ තවත් ස්වර්ණ වර්ණ පරිච්ඡේදයක් සටහන් කරමින් 1715 වන වරට පැවැත් වූ හෙළයේ මහා සංස්කෘතික පූජෝපහාරය කන්ද උඩරට ඇසළ පෙරහර මහා මංගල්ලය අසිරිමත් කන්ද උඩරට මහනුවර පෙරහර වීදි මඟ සරසා, උතුම් දළදා හාමුදුරුවන්ටත්, සිව්මහා දෙවිවරුන්ටත් අසිරිමත් සංස්කෘතික පූජෝපහාර පුදකොට, කලට වැසි ලැබ, රටට සෞභාග්‍යය උදා වී, සියළු ලෝ වැසියනට ආශිර්වාද කර එහි සමාප්තිය තබන ලදී.

2025 ඇසළ පෙරහර මහා මංගල්ලය අති සාර්ථකව පවත්වා අවසන් කළ වග ගරු ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතා වෙත ශ්‍රී දළදා මාලිගාවේ ගරු දිය‍වඩන නිලමේ ප්‍රදීප් නිලංග දෑල මැතිතුමන් විසින් සංදේශය මඟින් පිළිගන්වා දන්වා සිටීමෙන් පසු පෙරහර මංගල්ලයේ නිමාව නිල වශයෙන් සනිටුහන් විය.

Divinely colorful & wondrous 1715th Kandy Esala Perahera Festival comes to an end after 11 days of paying homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic & blessing the entire globe with their great cultural offerings after Singheraja the Ceremonial tusker stepped on the ancient moonstone at the auspicious hour of 4:42 pm and entered through the main "Maha Wahalkada"

"Perahera Sandeshaya" the communication of the successful conclusion of the Kandy Esala Perahera Festival 2025 was handed over to His Excellency the President Hon. Anura Kumara Disanayaka by Hon. Diyawadana Nilame marking the conclusion of the festival.
