We bring you the action from our opening clash at the Howard Hinton Sevens 2026 against Sca Sevens. Although it ended in a tough 26-07 defeat, that was only the beginning of an epic turnaround!

Showing tremendous character and pure Sri Lankan resilience after a difficult opening day, our Tuskers bounced back in style. In a thrilling Shield Final, they showcased world-class skills to defeat the prominent French club, Seven Pyla Rugby, by 28-21 to claim the Shield! πŸ†πŸ˜

Competing against quality international opposition at the Howard Hinton 7s provided exactly the kind of exposure and learning experience needed as we continue preparations for the Asian Games later this year.

After a difficult opening day, the team showed tremendous character, resilience, and belief to bounce back with two impressive victories. More importantly, they earned the respect of teammates, opponents, and supporters alike through their commitment and fighting spirit.

The results matter, but the lessons gained and experience earned matter even more. Every challenge faced in France is another step forward on our journey.

With international experience, proven leadership, and a deep understanding of the game, Peter returns at a pivotal moment in our journey. As we build towards the biggest challenge ahead, his mission is clearβ€”to help guide the Tuskers towards our ultimate goal of standing on the podium at the Asian Games. πŸ…πŸ˜
