Adopt a Life Foundation ADOLIFE purposes to improve lives of women, and youth with a focus on undeserved, hard to reach areas that carry a huge reproductive health burden..

ADOLIFE was founded in year 2011 and registered in Kenya on 31st January 2013 with NGO co-ordination Bureau as a not-for-profit, non partisan local NGO. In order to better serve its target population, Adolife has a medical centre located at Ruai shopping centre, Njiru district, Nairobi county where comprehensive biomedical reproductive health services are offered.

ADOLIFE primarily enhances the reproductive and related health services offered to women and youth with a special focus on the girl child. In recognition of the prominent role played by the family unit, the community and the health care system, ADOLIFE also focuses on male involvement, communities and Healthcare providers to ensure women and girls’ reproductive health needs are addressed at all these levels. This has been achieved by partnering with the beneficiaries of the services and other stakeholders to identify community-based solutions that informs the design of appropriate interventions.

General information

GOALS ADOLIFE aims at comprehensively addressing and enhancing reproductive health outcomes of women and youth in Kenya by addressing three main core areas: 1) Access to and utilization of reproductive health; HIV and other sexually transmitted infection prevention services 2) Sexual and gender based violence, alcohol and drug use and 3) Economic empowerment of women and youth in resource poor settings. OBJECTIVES ADOLIFE designs and offer evidence-informed bio medical, behavioral, social and structural interventions that aim to- 1. Reduce the vulnerability of youth 15-24 years and women to HIV /STI infections through evidence-informed behavioral, bio medical and social HIV prevention interventions. 2. Provide comprehensive reproductive health services targeting women and youth 15-24years including post-abortion care. 3. Enhance livelihoods of out of school youth and women to engage in economic empowerment activities that reduce their vulnerability to reproductive health problems, HIV and sexually transmitted infections.
