Pieces of Me
As I sit here, reflecting on my life, I realize I'm made up of fragments – pieces of me, scattered and gathered, shaped by experiences, relationships, and moments that have defined me.
There's the piece of me that's a child, carefree and wild, chasing butterflies and laughter. Another piece is the student, eager to learn, absorb, and grow. The friend, the sibling, the partner – each role a shard of my identity, woven into the fabric of who I am.
Some pieces are sharp, jagged from pain and heartache. Others are smooth, polished by love and joy. There are pieces I've lost, left behind like autumn leaves, and pieces I've found, picked up like seashells on a forgotten shore.
I'm a mosaic, a collage of contradictions – strength and vulnerability, hope and doubt, light and dark. I'm a work in progress, constantly rearranging, reimagining, and rediscovering the pieces of me.
In this journey, I've learned to embrace the fragments, to hold them gently, and to recognize that it's okay to be broken, to be incomplete. For it's in the pieces that I find my wholeness, my humanity, and my story.
What are the pieces of you?
