The EU Ambassador to Kenya took part in the fourth edition of the Kenya International Investment Conference (KIICO 2026), alongside government leaders and the global investment community in Nairobi.

We were honoured to welcome President William Samoei Ruto and Presidente Daniel Chapo of Mozambique at the stand, where they explored the innovative offerings of EU companies exhibiting at the event. The Team Europe stand at KIICO is proudly supported by the EU’s Digital for Development Hub (D4D).

As Kenya strengthens its position as East Africa’s leading investment destination, the EU remains a steadfast partner, committed to fostering investment, trade, technology, and shared prosperity.

Are you a visual artist, curator or cultural producer in Kenya working in painting, photography, video, installation or digital art?

The EU funded “Sub-Saharan Africa, Connect & Create” programme offers grants of up to €20,000 per team for collaborative visual arts projects.

We’re looking for Kenyan led teams that will:
👉 Co create a new visual artwork with partners in other African countries and/or Europe
👉 Produce and finish the work within 12 months (July 2026–July 2027)
👉 Present it to audiences in Kenya (e.g. Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru) and/or abroad, with talks, public programmes or digital engagement

The team leader must be based in Sub Saharan Africa – Kenyan leads are eligible – and all team members must be based in Sub Saharan Africa or the EU.
