1 Timotheo 1:18-20
[18]Mwanangu Timotheo, nakukabidhi agizo hilo liwe akiba, kwa ajili ya maneno ya unabii yaliyotangulia juu yako, ili katika hayo uvipige vile vita vizuri;
This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
[19]uwe mwenye imani na dhamiri njema, ambayo wengine wameisukumia mbali, wakaangamia kwa habari ya Imani.
Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
[20]Katika hao wamo Himenayo na Iskanda, ambao nimempa Shetani watu hao, ili wafundishwe wasimtukane Mungu.
Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

2 Mambo ya Nyakati 15:1-7
[1]Ndipo roho ya Mungu ikamjia Azaria mwana wa Odedi;
And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:
[2]naye akatoka ili amlaki Asa, akamwambia, Nisikieni, Ee Asa, na Yuda wote na Benyamini; BWANA yu pamoja nanyi, mkiwa pamoja naye; nanyi mkimtafuta ataonekana kwenu; lakini mkimwacha atawaacha ninyi.
And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
[3]Basi tangu siku nyingi Israeli wamekuwa hawana Mungu wa kweli, wala hawana kuhani afundishaye, wala hawana torati;
Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.
[4]lakini walipomgeukia BWANA, Mungu wa Israeli, katika msiba wao, na kumtafuta, akaonekana kwao.
But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.
[5]Hata na zamani zile hakukuwa na amani kwake atokaye, wala kwake aingiaye, ila fadhaa kubwa juu yao wote wakaao katika nchi.
And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.
[6]Wakavunjika-vunjika, taifa juu ya taifa, na mji juu ya mji; kwani Mungu aliwafadhaisha kwa shida zote.
And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.
[7]Nanyi jipeni nguvu, wala mikono yenu isilegee; kwa maana kazi yenu itakuwa na ijara.
Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.
