Hula enthusiasts in SHONAN area will gather at Ohayashi Observation Park for a Hawaiian-inspired event where they can experience “mana.”🏝
Mana is a Hawaiian word meaning spirit or natural power.
At Ohayashi Observation Park on the Manazuru Peninsula overlooking Sagami Bay, this event will feature hula dance performances, live band performances, food stalls, workshops, and more. Enjoy delicious food while watching the performances.

📣The 73rd Uraga Port Festival📣

Uraga is always mentioned in Japanese history textbooks as a port town that opened up to the world after the arrival of Commodore Perry. The Uraga Port Festival is a traditional festival.
Various events are held around Uraga Port, and it is always crowded with many people every year. At the end of the festival, fireworks are set off into the night sky of Uraga.
Why not enjoy the view of fireworks that are launched from the coast of Uraga, where the black ships once anchored?

📣Yugawara Onsen Nights📣
Yugawara Onsen Nights, a summer festival famous for Yugawara Onsen, features a variety of events, including street performances, Japanese drums, hula dancing, and other daily performances, as well as Bon Odori, a dance that you can enjoy with Yugawara’s geisha.

📣The 45th Miura Beach Summer Festival Fireworks Display📣

The Miura Beach Summer Festival Fireworks Display is held every year in early August and is one of the summer traditions on the Miura Peninsula, attracting around 100,000 people every year.
The venue, Miura Beach, is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Keihin Kyuko Miura Kaigan Station.
You can sit on the wide sandy beach and leisurely look up at the fireworks launched from the barge, making this a festival full of a sense of freedom.

The colorful lights of the underwater fireworks and star mines brightly color the sea surface.

📣WEEKLY Fireworks in Oiso📣
One of the summer traditions of Oiso, “WEEKLY Fireworks in Oiso” will be held. Fireworks will be launched three times this summer at Oiso Port.
Food trucks and other stalls are also planned for the day. Why not spend a weekend looking up at the sky with everyone?

📣Chigasaki Beach Hamaori Festival📣
The Chigasaki Beach Hamaori Festival, a festival of dawn that heralds the arrival of summer in Chigasaki, will be held.
At dawn, many mikoshi (portable shrines) gather at Chigasaki Nishihama Beach from each shrine in Chigasaki City and Samukawa Town, and purification rituals are performed on the beach.

The Hamaori Festival is designated as an “Intangible Cultural Property of Kanagawa Prefecture,” and is one of the largest mikoshi festivals in the Kanto region.
Why not visit this festival that represents the summer of SHONAN?

*The first mikoshi will enter the festival at around 4:00 a.m., and the Hamaori Festival Joint Ceremony will then be held at around 7:00 a.m.

📣Summer Purification📣
The Summer Purification is a Shinto ritual that has been passed down since ancient times, where people pass through a “Chinowa” ring made of thatch to receive the life force of the green thatch, in order to be able to live healthy through the hot summer without contracting epidemics or plagues that are common during the rainy season.

At Morito Daimyojin Shrine, a kaya ring is usually set up in late June. Why not purify your mind and body and have a purification ceremony so that you can greet each day with a fresh feeling?

📣Poppy and Nemophila Festival📣
From early April to late May every year, about one million Shirley poppies bloom in the poppy garden of Kurihama Flower Kingdom. This time, we’d like to introduce an enjoyable cycling experience in SHONAN, Japan. SHONAN area offers various cycling routes where you can ride while enjoying ocean views. Some routes extend as far as 100 kilometers.
We will introduce a section of the "Pacific Coast Bicycle Path Kanagawa Section," a scenic cycling route stretching approximately 100 kilometers from Kurihama Port, which offers breathtaking views of SHONAN, to the border between Kanagawa and Shizuoka Prefectures.
