THE FESTIVAL OF PACIFIC ARTS AND CULTURE 2020 is coming soon! It will be in Hawaii!
Solomon Is. had held the event in 2018 I think... At opening ceremony I was in Lowson tama stadium. It was so wonderful. Cultural entertainments was so impressive.
People who from overseas had small shop to sell handmade products. Not only Solomon Islanders but also other islanders has special skills for arts, accessories, dancing and so on.
That is one of unforgettable memory of living in Solo.

The 2019 National Kenu & Kundu Festival officially starts tomorrow in Alotau, Milne Bay Province. The sailing canoes are arriving and so are many families taking part. We hope you can join us!!!

How amazing.... They will have a film show of Vaka Taumako Project in Saturna Island, Canada.
I am so proud of this culture of Solomon such as voyages with a natural canoe and also I am so happy to saw and touched the Te Puke, voyaging canoe in Santa Cruz Is.

Another Kokonut Cup again on this Sunday, 18th!
Yuki, ex JICA volunteer is in Japan now but Genki, JICA volunteer and locals will be an organiser. They will have swimming race, water polo game and canoe race. I am soooooo happy that my friends continues the event with big hearts. Please join them and check details with attachments.

Unfortunately the weather in Kokonut cafe is no good so I decided today's Kokonut Cup will be cancelled. I am very sorry.
But I am here for playing water polo here. If you want, please come.

10th Kokonut Cup on 19th August

I and Genki and Mr, Kojima, New JICA Volunteers and Nathan Thompson Siofa, manager of Triathlon team organized 10th Kokonut Cup at Kokonut Cafe (Now Tenkai restaurant).
Participants were small number but we were so excited for swimming race and water polo game. That swimming race was struggle for survival, which was quite tough. And then finalist was Mr. Daverdin Ludovic and 2nd place was Timson and then 3rd place was Genki Iimori.

Special thanks to Bred Bank for donating prices and Mr Eric, manager of Kokonut Cafe.

Next Kokonut Cup will be held on September. I hope many locals will join us.

Hello everyone,

The Kokonut Cup is on again! Swimming and water polo game events for all abilities on 19th next Sunday at Kokonut Cafe (now the Tenkai Japanese Restaurant).

Entry fee is $10 for ex pad and $5 for locals.
I would like you to bring a plastic shopping bag for correcting rubbish at the area.
