2026年大会に向け、名古屋港ガーデンふ頭で整備が進む
移動式宿泊施設「Villas」の視察を行いました。
本大会では、「建てる」から「活かす」へ。
港湾機能を活用した、愛知・名古屋発の新しい宿泊モデルです。
『コンテナ型木造住宅』 は大会期間中の宿泊拠点としてだけでなく、
大会後は災害対応や観光分野にも活用される、持続可能な資源です。
また、外断熱構造や三重ガラスによる高い断熱性能、
アクセシビリティへの配慮など、
選手が安心して過ごせる環境づくりが進められています。
ダイニングやフィットネスなどの機能も徒歩圏内に集約し、
コンパクトで利便性の高い空間を実現しています。
現在、全200棟のうち約180棟の設置が完了し、整備は順調に進行中。
今夏の完成に向けて準備が進んでいます。

大会に向けた準備は、着実に進んでいます。
愛知・名古屋らしい温かいおもてなしで、アジア中から訪れる選手の皆さまをお迎えできるよう、引き続き万全の準備を進めてまいります。

📍Site Visit: Mobile Accommodation “Villas”

We conducted a site visit of the mobile accommodation “Villas” under development at Nagoya Port Garden Pier for the 2026 Games.
Under the concept of “from building to utilizing,”
this initiative introduces a new accommodation model unique to Aichi and Nagoya, making use of port infrastructure.
“Container-style wooden housing” is not only used as accommodation during the games, but also serves as a sustainable resource that can be utilized for disaster response and in the tourism sector after the event.
Designed with high thermal insulation using external insulation structures and triple-glazed windows, the units provide a comfortable indoor environment even during Nagoya’s hot summer.
They are also designed with accessibility in mind to meet diverse athlete needs.
Dining, fitness, and other essential services are all located within walking distance, creating a compact and highly convenient environment.
Approximately 180 out of 200 units have already been installed, and development is progressing smoothly toward completion this summer.

Preparations for the Games are steadily progressing.
We will continue to make every effort to ensure we are fully prepared to welcome athletes from across Asia with the warm hospitality that Aichi and Nagoya are known for.
