70年代のディスコから80年代のブギーへの移り変わりを代表するMtume中枢メンバーの後期グループ。
Young, Free And SingleやStep In The Lightはブギーの名曲中の名曲。
UKのシーンではかけられてきたが、後年ブギー再評価で世界的に認知された名盤。
生演奏とシンセをバランス良く取り入れた都会的で洗練されたサウンドが特徴で、今でもハウスやディスコDJがよくプレイする定番。
知る人ぞ知る作品だが、のちにGapbandのOutstandingなどを手掛けるドラマーのRaymond CalhounやMtumeのReggie Lucas（プロデュース）など、バンドにもMarcus MillerやJames Mtumeなども参加しておりかなり豪華。

A later group formed by core members of Mtume, representing the transition from ’70s disco to ’80s boogie.
Tracks like “Young, Free And Single” and “Step In The Light” are among the all-time great boogie classics.
While it was played on the UK scene, this masterpiece gained worldwide recognition later on as part of the boogie revival.
Characterized by a sophisticated, urban sound that strikes a perfect balance between live instrumentation and synthesizers, it remains a staple that house and disco DJs still frequently play today.
While it’s an album known only to connoisseurs, the lineup is quite star-studded, featuring drummer Raymond Calhoun—who later worked on tracks like “Outstanding” by the Gap Band—and Mtume’s Reggie Lucas (on production), as well as musicians such as Marcus Miller and James Mtume.
