Five teams from Japan (selected from the award winners of the “Learning Concerto Contest”) proudly participated for the first time in ICIA 2026 (International Creativity and Innovation Award) 🇰🇭✨
This year’s event was held in Cambodia. Together, we joined with excitement and were deeply inspired by the outstanding STEAM inquiry projects presented by children from all over the world — including ASEAN countries, Syria, Mexico, Brazil, and many more. Through this experience, we also gained wonderful new friends and connections across the globe!
And the Japanese teams achieved amazing results!!! 🎉
🏆 Gold Award
• Ms. Kaho Furuhashi — Salesian International School
🥈 Silver Awards
• Yonago National College of Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Course
• Himeji Commercial High School, Regional Revitalization Club
• Kindai University Hiroshima High School Fukuyama, Mr. Hideyuki Okada
• Ladybug’s Future
All participants challenged themselves to give presentations in English, and even in an unfamiliar environment, they actively communicated with others and gained many new friendships and valuable learning experiences.
During Cultural Night, the Japanese teams introduced aspects of Japanese culture, including:
🇯🇵 Karate, Kendama, Calligraphy, Shinobue Flute, and Bon Odori
The presentations from each country were also full of originality and charm, making it a truly meaningful opportunity to learn from one another beyond cultural boundaries.
Congratulations and great job to everyone who took on this challenge! ✨
