The U.S. athlete, not yet 16 years old, claimed the win by defeating China’s Li Xinyao 15–12 in the final. USA and China dominated the top 8, with four athletes each.

🎀 Lo sport che fa la differenza: Nastro Rosa!
La Federazione Italiana Scherma promuove il progetto “Nastro Rosa”, dedicato alle donne operate al seno. La Coppa del Mondo di Udine sostiene questa iniziativa, che valorizza lo sport come strumento di inclusione, sensibilizzazione e responsabilità sociale.

🤺 Accanto all’agonismo, la Coppa del Mondo ospiterà domani il primo incontro nazionale di Nastro Rosa, progetto FIS che utilizza la scherma come percorso riabilitativo e di sensibilizzazione per donne operate di tumore al seno.
Saranno presenti 50 atlete da tutta Italia e, prima delle finali, è previsto un momento dimostrativo dell’attività svolta.

Il progetto è sostenuto anche da ANDOS Nazionale, presente con la presidente Flori Degrassi.
In pedana e nella vita, lo sport è un gesto di forza e solidarietà. 💪🎀

🎀 Sport that makes a difference: Pink Ribbon!
The Italian Fencing Federation promotes the “Pink Ribbon” project, supporting women who have undergone breast cancer surgery. The Udine World Cup proudly supports this initiative, highlighting sport as a tool for inclusion, awareness, and social responsibility.

🤺 Alongside competition, the World Cup will host tomorrow the first national Pink Ribbon meeting, a FIS project that uses fencing as a rehabilitation and awareness pathway for women who have undergone breast cancer surgery.
50 athletes from all over Italy will take part, and a demonstration session of the project will be held before the finals.

The project is also supported by ANDOS National, represented by its president Flori Degrassi.
On the piste and in life, sport is a gesture of strength and solidarity. 💪🎀

🤺 Si chiude la prima giornata della 20ª Coppa del Mondo di Scherma in Friuli Venezia Giulia!

Al PalaIndoor Ovidio Bernes di Udine, la canadese Yanka Sobus conquista la vittoria nella gara Under 17, superando in finale l’azzurra Giulia Ferioli. A completare il podio, altre due italiane: Payam Kumari e Carola Calogiuri. 🇮🇹👏

🔥 Domani la giornata clou con la gara Under 20: 238 atlete da 40 Paesi pronte a scendere in pedana per uno spettacolo internazionale imperdibile!

At the PalaIndoor Ovidio Bernes in Udine, Canada’s Yanka Sobus claimed victory in the Under-17 event, defeating Italy’s Giulia Ferioli in the final. Joining them on the podium were two more Italian athletes, Payam Kumari and Carola Calogiuri. 🇮🇹👏

🔥 Tomorrow is the main event with the Under-20 competition: 238 athletes from 40 countries will take to the piste for an unmissable international showdown!

Because we believe the values of sport should extend to our planet too. 🌍
