The Others è la principale fiera indipendente italiana dedicata alle più recenti tendenze artistiche internazionali, con un focus specifico sulle ultime generazioni. Una piattaforma espositiva rivolta a gallerie, artist–run e project spaces, collettivi di artisti e curatori, spazi indipendenti. un’importante vetrina all’interno della Contemporary Art Week torinese. Nomade e ospitata sin dagli esordi in sedi non convenzionali, negli anni The Others si è spostata in diverse strutture, rivitalizzando e riconvertendo importanti edifici in disuso. Gli orari di apertura serali, l’atmosfera vivace e informale, un ampio programma di eventi transdisciplinari sono gli ingredienti che hanno portato alla creazione di un nuovo format di promozione dell’arte. Guidata da un board internazionale composto da curatori attivi in diverse aree d’Europa, The Others è una fiera internazionale caratterizzata da una forte progettualità curatoriale, che permette di superare il concetto tradizionale di booth. The Others sarà ospitata all’interno del Padiglione 3 di Torino Esposizioni, l’ex centro fieristico della Città. Il Padiglione 3 è stato progettato da Pier Luigi Nervi nel 1950 e si trova nel quartiere San Salvario, all’interno dello storico Parco del Valentino. The Others is the main independent fair in Italy dedicated to international emerging artists and to the latest trends in contemporary art. An exhibition platform addressing galleries, artist-run and project spaces, collectives of artists and curators, The Others is conceived for young exhibitors in terms of accessibility – the participation costs are among the lowest in Europe – and it is an important opportunity for visibility as it is held in the week dedicated to contemporary art in Turin, a moment that attracts the attention of art professionals and art lovers from around the world. The Others is nomadic and hosted in unconventional venues; over the years it relocated in different structures, revitalizing and recovering captivating disused buildings. The evening opening hours, the lively informal atmosphere and a program of cross-disciplinary events are the ingredients in a formula that is recognized as a new format for the promotion of art. Led by an international board of curators actived in different areas of Europe, The Others is an international art fair characterized by a strong curatorial planning, which allows to overcome the traditional concept of booth. The Others will be hosted inside Pavilion 3 of Torino Esposizioni, the former exhibition center of the City. Pavilion 3 was designed by Pier Luigi Nervi in 1950 and is located in the San Salvario district, inside the historic Parco del Valentino.
