TROPEArte - Plein Air Festival 2024 Il primo festival annuale di TROPEArte Plein Air si terrà a Tropea dal 23 al 28 ottobre 2023.

Tropea è un'antica città murata su una scogliera lungo il Mar Tirreno in Calabria. Per una settimana artisti da tutto il mondo si riuniranno per dipingere e creare arte a "Plein Air" (all'aperto) tra i vicoli stretti, le viste panoramiche, e sulla spiaggia per catturare parte della bellezza della città sulle loro tele. Il festival culminerà con una celebrazione e una mostra di opere create durante

la settimana. The first annual TROPEArte Plein Air Festival will be held in Tropea, Italy from October 23-28, 2023. Tropea is an ancient walled town on a cliff overlooking the Tyrrhenian sea in southern Italy’s Calabria region. For one week artists from around the world will gather together to paint and create art in “plein air” (outdoors) amongst the narrow alleyways, the scenic overlooks, and on the beach to capture some of the town’s beauty on their canvases. The festival will culminate with a celebration and an exhibit of works created during the week.

The Arches — Accademia degli Archi — is a 13th-century vaulted archway perched on the cliffs of historic Tropea, in southern Calabria, overlooking the Coast of the Gods and the Tyrrhenian Sea. In this ancient, light-filled space, artists selected by TROPEArte spend a week painting together, absorbing a unique blend of sun, stone, earth, and sea.

TROPEArte was founded in 2023 with a vision of uniting art, history, and culture in Tropea — a town whose spirit has always been one of openness, tolerance, and independence. The Artist Residency at the Arches is the heart of that vision.

Una preghiera di pittura e poesia per i migranti persi a mare

Unirvi a noi sulla spiaggia “Le Roccette” a Tropea, questa domenica il 22 febbraio, dalle 10-14, per offrire una preghiera per tutti i migranti che si sono persi a mare, ricordando le tragedie umane, recente e storiche, che si sono presentate sulle nostre sponde. Tutti sono benvenuti per pitturare, recitare, cantare, o solo per essere presente e per riflettere. Con la vostra presenza, tentiamo di dare una voce a chi non ha più voce.
