Every trip starts with a conversation, listening to you as a cyclist, what you’re looking for, what you’re ready to leave behind for a week, how much of a challenge you want to take on.

Then we start planning. Every detail, every road, every point of interest you don’t want to miss.

Once on the road with your bicycle you can ride, “senza pensieri e senza fretta”, at your pace.
The land does the rest, the beauty of those roads that we are glad to share with you.

We are grateful to all of our guests who trust us with something that matters to them.
Grazie🧡

Every spring trip starts with a winter ride. Before our guests we ride these roads, we call it our “recon quarter”.

In between December and January the Chianti Hills are empty, the gravel sector wet and cold but still with that beauty within that explodes in the later seasons.

This is the way for us to know each road that goes into the app, which cafè is worth a detour, which sector will break your legs and which one you wish to ride twice.

Can’t wait to have our guests with us 🚵🏻‍♀️🚵🏻‍♂️🧡

Who’s behind CyclingHero?

We are a small team of passionate cyclists: locals, expats, and one very important sausage dog.

Bob (the Canadian🇨🇦) and Caterina (the Trevigiana🍾) are your hosts in the Veneto and beyond. Their backyard is the Prosecco Hills and the Dolomites, and yes, Puppers the dachshund counts as a full team member. 🐾

Andrea is based in Bologna, works as a professional cycling coach 🚵🏻‍♂️, and trains everywhere between the Romagna coast and the Apennines. If there’s a climb worth knowing in Emilia-Romagna, he’s already ridden it twice this week.

Ermanno & Lorella 🚵🏻‍♂️🚵🏻‍♀️ left Vancouver behind to come back to their beloved Piedmont. Based in Cuneo, they ride from the Langhe vineyards all the way up to the Alps, and they know every producer, every road, and every shortcut along the way.

And then there’s Mark 🚵🏻‍♂️, our tech co-founder, coding from Berlin but always present through the CyclingHero companion app he built, so the team always knows where you are, and you always know where to find us.

Real cyclists. Real locals. Real passion. That’s just how we’re built. 🧡

We get a lot of questions before someone books their first CyclingHero trip. Here are the five we hear most with our answers.

1• Is it really self-guided?
Yes, completely. You ride when you want, at your pace, choosing your route each morning from the options we prepare. No group. No fixed start time.

2• What does the support van do?
Mechanical assistance, nutrition, water, navigation help, luggage transfers between hotels, and a pickup if your legs give out. It follows your general route and you always know where to find it via the app.

3• Is airport transfer included?
Yes, indeed! We come to pick you up at the airport and bring you at the beginning of your ride. We drop you off when you’re sure you want to get back home.

4• What’s the accommodation?
Boutique properties, personally selected by us. Not chains, not resorts — places that feel like the region.

5• What is the app?
Our proprietary CyclingHero app gives you GPX files, insider tips for each destination, and live location sharing between you and the team. Exclusively for our clients.

🎬How do we start? A conversation. What’s the one question you’d want answered before booking a cycling trip in Italy?
