In 1959 Maurizio Pollini graduated in piano from the Milan Conservatory. In the same year, at just 17 years of age, he won his first international competition: it was the first edition of the Pozzoli Competition.
On 19 June 2024, the Milan Conservatory dedicated Room 201 to the great pianist, and just over a year later, the concert of the winners of the 34th edition of the Ettore Pozzoli Piano Competition will be held for the first time in the Sala Verdi of the Milan Conservatory on Sunday 28 September at 6 p.m.

Nel 1959 Maurizio Pollini si diplomò in pianoforte al Conservatorio di Milano, nello stesso anno, a soli 17 anni, vinse la sua prima competizione internazionale: era la prima edizione del Concorso Pozzoli.
Il 19 giugno 2024 il Conservatorio di Milano ha dedicato l’Aula 201 al grande pianista e, poco più di un anno dopo, domenica 28 settembre alle ore 18, si terrà per la prima volta nella Sala Verdi del Conservatorio di Milano il concerto dei vincitori della ###IV edizione del Concorso Pianistico Ettore Pozzoli.
