Enjoy the view 💛🚲

It’s been just over a week since we said goodbye to this Sardinia Rally, and we’re still sitting with that strange feeling these weeks always leave behind: full hearts, tired bodies, and so much gratitude for everything that happened along the way.

Because this was never only about riding across Sardinia.

It was about stepping into something bigger than ourselves. About saying yes to challenge, yes to connection, yes to the possibility of being carried not only by your own legs, but by the people around you. Over and over this week, we saw what can happen when FLINTA* riders are given the space to try, to struggle, to grow, and to be supported through all of it.

Some of you arrived with experience to share. Others arrived with doubts, questions, or a quiet hope to see what you were capable of. And somewhere between the climbs, the long days, the sea views, the laughter, and the hard moments, something shifted. Confidence grew. New friendships formed. What may have felt intimidating at first became something lived, shared, and real.

As the Rally team, it means everything to witness these transformations up close. To see people open up to each other and discover strength they maybe didn’t know they had. What truly gives the Rally its meaning is the way you all shaped it together.

Thank you for bringing your trust, your courage, and your generosity. Thank you for making space for each other. Thank you for reminding us, once again, that community can carry people further than they imagined.

We hope this Rally stays with you for a long time — in your memories, in your confidence, and in the friendships you’re taking home with you. It will certainly stay with us.

To this beautiful week, to this incredible group, and to all the roads still waiting ahead 🦩🇮🇹

Huge thanks to our presenting partner and our friends at for helping make the Sardinia Rally possible.

And a very special thank you to and for trusting us to continue carrying this project forward 💛

DAY 7: Not ready to leave the sea behind

It’s the last day of the rally, but we’re not ready to say goodbye to the sea just yet 🌊

From Alghero, we head north on bike paths toward Capo Falcone, the dramatic headland overlooking the Gulf of Asinara. This rugged promontory of dark Stintino stone is fringed with Mediterranean scrub and crowned by the historic Torre del Falcone, part of Sardinia’s old coastal watchtower system.

From there, the route slips onto off-road tracks running parallel to the coastline, passing a couple of picturesque beaches that make the perfect excuse for a quick detour to the water and a dip. Soon we climb back to the road toward Palmadula, then drop off-road again for sweeping views over the Argentiera coast. Argentiera is a former mining village built around silver-bearing lead and zinc deposits, now one of Sardinia’s most striking pieces of industrial archaeology, with mining remnants scattered across a narrow coastal valley.

Then, we aim for Spiaggia de La Pelosa, famous for its fine white sand and shallow turquoise water. Protected by the bay and dotted with its iconic offshore landmarks, it almost feels tropical. A final detour brings us to Valle della Luna (Cala Grande), a surreal pocket of wind- and weather-sculpted granite boulders on the Capo Testa promontory, shaped into smooth, lunar-looking forms.

DAY 6: Riding Wild West Sardinia 🌊🚲🌼

Leaving Bosa, the next stretch to Alghero is about 50 km, fully on road, and largely on the Occidentale Sarda, the coastal spine we’ve been tracing for much of this rally.

The Occidentale Sarda has been one of the spectacular and main threads of this journey. More than just a connection between places, it has shaped the rhythm of the rally, guiding us along Sardinia’s wild western edge with its sea views, rolling bends, and constant sense of openness.

DAY 6: More surprises coming!

After a solid resupply, the descent takes us straight into Bosa, one of Sardinia’s most distinctive towns. It stretches along the Temo River, the island’s only navigable river, and climbs in colorful layers toward Malaspina Castle on the hill above.

Our Sardinian journey is coming to an end, but we still have a couple of surprises up our sleeve!

DAY 6: Rocks & Climbs

On day 6, it’s time to explore Sardinia’s hinterland again.

From S’Archittu, we turn onto a secondary road climbing toward Cuglieri. The approach starts on quiet secondary roads, then shifts off-road with a bit more climbing. A rewarding, steady work that carries you through a real change of scenery: away from the salt-air coast and into Sardinia’s rural hinterland. Expect a patchwork of fields, scrubby slopes, and open views as the landscape becomes more pastoral and less maritime.

Cuglieri itself is perched high on the western side of the Montiferru area, sitting on a basaltic plateau roughly 500 m up. It’s a proper hill town—stone houses, narrow lanes, and wide horizons that stretch back toward the sea. We can enjoy the heights before the route drops again!

DAY 5: Nature’s architecture

Another day at the beach 🌊🚲👙

Spiaggia di Is Arutas is famous for its “rice-grain” sand: tiny quartz pebbles in pale, shimmering tones that give the whole beach an almost unreal texture underfoot. It’s one of those places where the ground itself feels magical. And it’s a protected one, too: taking sand or pebbles from Sardinian beaches is illegal and can lead to heavy fines, so this is very much a look-don’t-take kind of wonder!

Leaving Is Arutas, the route gets rougher and more technical as it heads toward the cliffs of Capo Mannu, another major highlight of the day. Here, the headland is fully exposed to the mistral, with the sea stretching wide below and that wild edge-of-the-world feeling Sardinia does so well.

Once you reach Capo Mannu, the hardest riding is behind you, and the route slips into the sandy pine forest of Is Arenas. This is one of the most beautiful and unusual passages of the whole loop. But stay sharp: deeper sand patches can grab your front wheel out of nowhere and bring your momentum to a sudden halt.

Then, leaving the forest behind, we stay on the road toward S’Archittu, a small seaside village named after its famous natural arch: a white limestone formation carved by wind and waves, the last remaining shape of an ancient sea cave opened over time by marine erosion.

DAY 5: Sardinian spring 🌼🌸🌺

Spring on the island hits different, and every little corner of Sardinia has its own special smell and colors.

From the vibrant yellow of Elicrisio, known for its aromatic perfume and symbol of the Mediterranean scrub, to the white flowers of Corbezzolo and Myrtus, one of Sardinia’s symbols. Other areas are rich in Ginestra and Cisto, creating puzzles of yellow and white shrubs like a contemporary painting. Euforbia and Asfodelo complete the picture!

It’s a treat to surf through these landscapes and witness nature coming back to life!

DAY 5: We’re covering ground! 🌬️

Today, we cruise the secondary roads out of Guspini for about 30 km before the landscape suddenly opens into the lagoons and plains of Arborea: flat horizons, big skies, and that unmistakable feeling of really covering ground.

This is one of Sardinia’s most intensely agricultural areas, where reclaimed wetlands have been transformed into a patchwork of fields, canals, and modern farms, especially known for dairy and cattle.

After another 20 km on the road, we reach Oristano and Cabras, where bike paths and service tracks, some running alongside cactus fields, lead us into one of the most distinctive coastal sections of the entire route.
Oristano may be small, but it carries a big history. In the Middle Ages, it was the capital of the Giudicato of Arborea, one of Sardinia’s independent kingdoms, closely tied to the legacy of Eleonora d’Arborea and the island’s most famous legal code, the Carta de Logu.

And from here on, we’re back on a full sand-and-salt mission.
