What a remarkable year for our alumna Dani, congratulations 🎉🎉
Daniella Nassar is an award-winning Cypriot–Lebanese composer, pianist, cellist, and performer based in London. Her music blends classical foundations with folk influences, fragmented textures, and electronic elements, shaped by a cinematic sensibility. She composes for film, television, dance, and interdisciplinary projects, while also working as a soloist, orchestrator, and session musician.
As a pianist, Daniella has performed across Cyprus, the UK, Italy, and Greece, making her concerto debut with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra. Upcoming performances include engagements in London, Greece, and Scotland.
Her work as a composer has been featured at international film festivals across the UK, USA, and Asia, including the Cleveland International Film Festival and the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival. In 2026, she was selected for both the AWFC Mentoring Programme, where she is mentored by Martin Phipps, and the inaugural Cannes Film Festival Marché du Film programme, Composers on the Rise.
Daniella has been a finalist in the Oticons International Film Scoring Competition and the FMF Young Talent Award. Her commissioned works include music for the ABRSM syllabus, Dysart Colliery Silver Band, and the National Children's Orchestra. She is currently preparing her debut album with plans to record with the London Contemporary Orchestra.
She holds a First-Class Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Piano Performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where she was awarded the Keyboard Department Silver Medal.
