It’s always hard to wrap up a Screen Music Program edition, but this one was especially dear to us.

For the first time, we stepped into an artistic residency format in the Dolomites, and what an experience it was.

We had the privilege of working with an incredible roster of composers, bringing so much energy, curiosity, love, and empathy into the room. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better group to share this experience with.

A huge thank you to all the amazing people who helped make this edition so special.

Our incredible faculty: Robbie Teehan, Alison Plante, EnricaSciandroneMusic, Penka D Kouneva, Luigi di Guida, thebasementvicenza

Our wonderful special guests: Sean Callery, Simon Franglen, Michael Abels

And our amazing partners: Spitfire Audio, Robbie Teehan | Coaching and Consulting for Media Composers, ReelCrafter: Trackable Demo Reels, EPKs, and Showreels, Penka Kouneva

Thank you, thank you, thank you. ❤️

We’re already looking forward to what’s next - and we’ll be back very soon with lots of news.

See you soon! 🎬🎶

What a remarkable year for our alumna Dani, congratulations 🎉🎉

Daniella Nassar is an award-winning Cypriot–Lebanese composer, pianist, cellist, and performer based in London. Her music blends classical foundations with folk influences, fragmented textures, and electronic elements, shaped by a cinematic sensibility. She composes for film, television, dance, and interdisciplinary projects, while also working as a soloist, orchestrator, and session musician.

As a pianist, Daniella has performed across Cyprus, the UK, Italy, and Greece, making her concerto debut with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra. Upcoming performances include engagements in London, Greece, and Scotland.

Her work as a composer has been featured at international film festivals across the UK, USA, and Asia, including the Cleveland International Film Festival and the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival. In 2026, she was selected for both the AWFC Mentoring Programme, where she is mentored by Martin Phipps, and the inaugural Cannes Film Festival Marché du Film programme, Composers on the Rise.

Daniella has been a finalist in the Oticons International Film Scoring Competition and the FMF Young Talent Award. Her commissioned works include music for the ABRSM syllabus, Dysart Colliery Silver Band, and the National Children's Orchestra. She is currently preparing her debut album with plans to record with the London Contemporary Orchestra.

She holds a First-Class Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Piano Performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where she was awarded the Keyboard Department Silver Medal.

Let’s congratulate Anwen Borgo , SMP Alumna from ’25, on her acceptance into the Master of Music in Screen Scoring at the USC Thornton School of Music! ⚡️

Colorado-born composer, violist, and handpan enthusiast Anwen Borgo writes music for film, television, and interactive media, blending orchestral storytelling with contemporary production techniques. Her recent work includes the 18-award-winning short film Where Dead Things Grow, for which she received two Best Composer awards from the American Golden Picture International Film Festival and Top Indie Film Awards. She also received the Orchestral Tools Excellence in Scoring Technology Award in 2026.

A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Anwen is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Screen Scoring at USC. She has recorded with professional ensembles at New York’s Power Station and creates educational and promotional content for Orchestral Tools. As a former board member of the Women’s Film Initiative, Anwen is very passionate about advancing opportunities for women in the film scoring industry. She helps organize networking events, panels, and educational programs designed to connect emerging composers with industry professionals and foster a more inclusive future for the next generation of storytellers.

Best wishes for your career, Anwen! 🎉
