🇮🇹 Vi ricordate questa piccola perla romanica?

È Santa Maria di Monserrato, nel cuore della Vecchia Tratalias.

Durante SHARDANA ci passiamo proprio davanti.

Una chiesa del XIII secolo, antica cattedrale del Sulcis, rimasta lì mentre intorno il paese cambiava e la vecchia Tratalias veniva progressivamente abbandonata.

Arrivarci in bici ha qualcosa di particolare.

Si entra nel piccolo borgo, si rallenta quasi senza accorgersene e per qualche minuto sembra di pedalare in un altro tempo.

Perché SHARDANA non è soltanto una traccia da seguire.

Sono anche questi piccoli incontri lungo il viaggio.

Luoghi che magari non conoscevi. Luoghi davanti ai quali vale la pena fermarsi.

Anche solo per qualche minuto.

This is Santa Maria di Monserrato, in the heart of the old village of Tratalias.

During SHARDANA, we ride right past it.

A 13th-century church, once the cathedral of the Sulcis region, still standing while everything around it changed and the old village of Tratalias was gradually abandoned.

There is something special about arriving here by bike.

You enter the tiny village, slow down almost without noticing, and for a few minutes it feels like riding through another time.

Because SHARDANA is not just a track to follow.

It is also about these little encounters along the journey.

Places you probably didn't know. Places worth stopping for.

Even just for a few minutes.

🇮🇹 A SHARDANA l’avventura inizia ancora prima di partire. 🚴‍♂️

Il giorno prima dello start c’è la festa di benvenuto: sorrisi, abbracci, nuove amicizie e quell’emozione speciale che si respira quando centinaia di storie stanno per incontrarsi sulla stessa strada.

Ma c’è anche chi, mentre tutti si preparano a vivere il viaggio, lavora senza sosta per far sì che ogni bici sia pronta a partire.

È il nostro Giorgio Carta di Technobike, il meccanico che sa trasformare un problema dell’ultimo minuto in un sorriso di sollievo.

Un cambio da registrare, un freno da sistemare, un piccolo imprevisto da risolvere… anche di notte! 🌙🔧

Perché dietro ogni grande avventura ci sono persone speciali che mettono competenza, passione e cuore al servizio della comunità.

The day before departure is all about the welcome party: smiles, hugs, new friendships and that special feeling when hundreds of stories are about to meet on the same road.

But while everyone is getting ready for the journey, someone is working tirelessly to make sure every bike is ready to roll.

That’s our Giorgio Carta from Technobike, the mechanic who can turn a last-minute problem into a huge sigh of relief.

A gear to adjust, a brake to fix, a little mechanical issue to solve… even in the middle of the night! 🌙🔧

Because behind every great adventure, there are special people who put their skills, passion and heart at the service of the community.

Dopo centinaia di chilometri, la fatica, i momenti difficili e quelli indimenticabili, arriva quel momento in cui finalmente capisci di avercela fatta.

Vogliamo che SHARDANA sia un viaggio emozionante dall'inizio alla fine.

Per questo scegliamo di presidiare l'arrivo per tutta la durata dell'evento: vogliamo esserci quando arrivate, guardarvi negli occhi, ascoltare il racconto della vostra avventura e condividere con voi quell'emozione che solo il traguardo sa regalare.

E poi c'è una cosa che non può mancare...

Una birra, tutti insieme, per festeggiare. 🍻

Perché il viaggio finisce al traguardo, ma le emozioni e le amicizie di SHARDANA continuano anche dopo.

Ancora all'inizio del viaggio, quando davanti hai più di mille chilometri e tutto deve ancora succedere.

Chissà quante emozioni avranno provato i nostri avventurieri dopo aver superato il primo checkpoint.

Il primo timbro, la prima conquista, la consapevolezza che quei mille e passa chilometri sono finalmente iniziati davvero.

E da lì in poi, chilometro dopo chilometro, la Sardegna comincia a raccontare la sua storia.

La SHARDANA è appena iniziata. 🚴‍♂️🔥

Still at the beginning of the journey, with more than a thousand kilometres ahead and everything yet to come.

Mille pensieri, mille dubbi e una montagna di sogni da vivere pedalata dopo pedalata.

È il momento in cui lasci alle spalle le certezze e davanti a te c'è soltanto la strada.

Non sai ancora cosa incontrerai, quali saranno i momenti più belli, dove arriveranno la fatica e le difficoltà.

Sai solo che sei partito.

Un passaggio affascinante nel cuore del nord Sardegna, tra paesaggi aperti, storia e un paese vivo e accogliente.

Chiaramonti può diventare molto più di una semplice tappa lungo il percorso: può essere il luogo dove decidere di chiudere la prima giornata del tuo viaggio, rallentare, goderti il paese e recuperare le energie.

🇮🇹 Momenti bellissimi, ma un viaggio come SHARDANA è fatto anche di sofferenza.

Di fatica, di energie da dosare, di acqua e cibo da gestire, di decisioni da prendere quando le gambe iniziano a chiedere di rallentare.

Perché lungo 1.138 km non puoi semplicemente pedalare e basta.

Devi ascoltare il tuo corpo, capire quando spingere e quando fermarti, trovare il ritmo giusto e imparare a gestire ogni risorsa.

Quante volte, lungo quei 1.138 km, avete pensato che il vostro fisico vi stesse chiedendo una pausa?

E quante volte avete ripreso a pedalare proprio quando sembrava impossibile?

Perché anche questo è SHARDANA.
La parte difficile è parte dell'avventura. 🚴‍♂️🔥

🇬🇧 Beautiful moments, but a journey like SHARDANA is also about suffering.

About fatigue, managing your energy, keeping track of water and food, and making decisions when your legs start telling you to slow down.

Because over 1,138 km, you can't simply keep riding.

You have to listen to your body, understand when to push and when to stop, find your rhythm and learn how to manage every resource.

How many times, during those 1,138 km, did you feel that your body was asking you to take a break?

And how many times did you get back on the bike when it seemed impossible?

Because this is SHARDANA too.
The hard part is part of the adventure. 🚴‍♂️🔥
