Dear Sumdayz Community,
It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that the festival will not be able to take place as originally scheduled. This decision was not taken lightly, and we are just as devastated as you are. Unfortunately, we find ourselves in a situation that is completely out of our control.
Due to legal and licensing issues at the venue, Sumdayz Festival is moved to spring 2024, and your tickets will remain valid.
Unfortunately, there are extenuating circumstances beyond our control. The authorization for the venue to host external events, required by the governing council of Rome, was finally sent to the venue well past the deadline yesterday despite our every effort to expedite the process. We were forcibly denied access to the location for the festival pre-production necessary, which meant we were not guaranteed licenses and permits fundamental to opening safely. This situation has made it impossible for us to continue working with the plan in place for many months, so we are regrettably forced to postpone the festival.
We have been working diligently with the venue, local authorities, and partners to ensure that all legal requirements were met to host the festival. Regrettably, the venue has encountered unexpected legal challenges that have made it impossible for the festival to take place.
We are committed to addressing this situation responsibly and fairly. Our team is already working tirelessly to explore all available options, including rescheduling and refund processes. We will be providing detailed information on these options in the coming days.
Over the past year, our team has poured their heart and soul into planning. We have been overwhelmed by the incredible support already from each and every one of you who purchased tickets and made plans to join us from different corners of the globe.
Fortunately we are able to offer a solution for our ticket holders this weekend in Rome. More info to follow in our next post.
We extend our deepest apologies for this unforeseen turn of events, and we appreciate your understanding and patience during this challenging time.
Thank you for being a part of this community.
