🇬🇧 Since 2006, the Reggio Children International Network has returned every year to the city where it all began. This year, the annual professional development meeting – attended by representatives from all over the world, in the year marking the network’s 20th anniversary – took place just a few hours after the visit by the Princess of Wales, which has drawn international attention to this experience.
Thirty-four members, thirty-three countries: teachers, pedagogistas and researchers who have embraced the values of the Reggio Emilia Approach not to export a model, but to keep a shared question alive. And just in the last few days, the network has expanded, welcoming Switzerland, France and Lithuania.
Among the highlights was the meeting at Officine Credem with the city’s institutions: Mayor Marco Massari, Councillor Marwa Mahmoud, the President of Istituzione Federico Ruozzi, and the President of Reggio Children Maddalena Tedeschi. A shared light, the Reggio Approach, to be kept burning so that it may illuminate ever more people around the world: this is the image around which the dialogue centred, balancing the responsibility to safeguard this experience with an eye already set on the next twenty years.
In the voices heard from all over the world, the same word returned, insistently: . In dark times, Reggio Emilia has emerged as a beacon, not for what it proclaims, but for what it practises every day.
It is from there, from children and education, that hope begins anew.

🇮🇹 Dal 2006, il Network Internazionale di Reggio Children è tornato ogni anno nella città dove tutto è cominciato. Quest'anno l'incontro annuale di formazione — con rappresentanti da tutto il mondo, nell'anno che segna il ventennale della rete — è arrivato a poche ore dalla visita della Principessa di Galles, che ha acceso un faro internazionale su questa esperienza.
Trentaquattro membri, trentatré Paesi: insegnanti, pedagogisti, ricercatori che hanno scelto i valori del Reggio Emilia Approach non per esportarne un modello, ma per tenere viva una domanda comune. E proprio in questi giorni la rete si è allargata, accogliendo Svizzera, Francia e Lituania.
Tra i momenti clou, l'incontro alle Officine Credem con le istituzioni della città: il sindaco Marco Massari, l'assessora Marwa Mahmoud, il presidente dell'Istituzione Federico Ruozzi, la presidente di Reggio Children Maddalena Tedeschi. Una luce comune, il Reggio Approach, da tenere accesa perché illumini sempre più persone nel mondo: è l'immagine attorno a cui si è raccolto il dialogo, tra la responsabilità di custodire questa esperienza e lo sguardo già rivolto ai prossimi vent'anni.
Nelle voci arrivate da tutto il mondo è tornata, insistente, la stessa parola: . In tempi bui, Reggio Emilia è apparsa come un faro non per ciò che proclama, ma per ciò che pratica ogni giorno. È da lì, dai bambini e dall'educazione, che la speranza ricomincia.
Un ringraziamento al Gruppo Credem, che ha accolto l'incontro e la celebrazione del ventennale negli spazi delle Officine Credem condividendo anche la propria visione sui temi del welfare e della genitorialità.
