Important annoncement:

Dear Audience we apologize to announce the suspension of the event-competition ROMA OPEN 2017 (originally scheduled for June 2017 and later deferred to December 2017), due to the failure of FIDS to grant the "World Open License Standard and Latin".
We have valid reasons to complain about the determination (or lack of determination) of FIDS regarding our request for the World Open License assignment, because right now we are unable to know the reasons for which the refusal was opposed to get the “WDSF World Open License”.
For this reason, we have instructed a lawyer to assess the existence of violations of National laws, including our Italian Legal constitution, as well as the rules of the international and national Sport regulations (CIO-WDSF and WDSF-FIDS) statutory and regulatory FIDS.
In our view, such a situation is causing a serious damage to our dancesport system by facilitating immutably certain organiser instead of others (inequalities of treatment / violation of the formal and substantive equality principle with financial and economic consequences for those who had matured relying on the possession of objective and subjective requirements, including investing resources in view of the realization of the event); and, worse, affecting the ranking system for athletes (the score awarded for a 'World Open' competition is higher than that attributed to an “WDSF International Open Competition' or 'WDSF Open Competition').
Due to all of the above, we are sorry to announce that the ROMA OPEN Event is currently suspended, as we do not have the WDSF "World OPEN International License" that we requested, even if we’ve reached all the parameters requested Fids for the assignement of the WDSF Licenses for the Season 2017.
We also inform you that we will run a WDSF International Event (together with some collegues) in the same dates we planned the competition next December 2017.

Comunicato Ufficiale da parte degli Organizzatori:

A causa della mancata assegnazione della Licenza “World Open” da parte di FIDS, siamo, nostro malgrado, costretti a comunicare la sospensione dell’evento-competizione ROMA OPEN 2017 (programmato inizialmente per giugno 2017 e poi differito a dicembre 2017). Abbiamo valide ragioni per dolerci delle determinazioni (o dell’assenza di determinazioni) del Consiglio federale FIDS in ordine alla nostra richiesta di assegnazione della Licenza World Open, ed infatti, non siamo in grado di conoscere le ragioni per le quali è stato opposto il rifiuto all’assegnazione della licenza World Open.
Per tale ragione, abbiamo incaricato un legale affinché possa valutare la sussistenza di violazioni di disposizioni di legge sovranazionale e statale, anche di matrice costituzionale, nonché delle regole dell’ordinamento sportivo internazionale e nazionale (CIO-WDSF e WDSF-FIDS), della normativa statutaria e regolamentare FIDS.
A nostro avviso, infatti, tale situazione ingenera un grave pregiudizio alla concorrenza, agevolando immotivatamente sul mercato talune Associazioni in danno di altre (disparità di trattamento / violazione del principio di eguaglianza formale e sostanziale con ripercussioni di natura economico-patrimoniale per coloro che avevano maturato affidamento in ragione del possesso di requisiti oggettivi e soggettivi, anche investendo risorse in vista della realizzazione dell’evento); e, peggio, incidendo sul meccanismo di formazione delle ranking list in danno degli atleti (il punteggio attribuito per una competizione ‘World Open’ è superiore a quello attribuito per una ‘International Open’ o ‘Open’).
In ragione di tutto quanto sopra detto, Vi comunichiamo, con rammarico, che l’evento-competizione ROMA OPEN è al momento sospeso, in quanto non risulta assegnata la Licenza internazionale WDSF “World OPEN” da noi richiesta, nonostante siano stati soddisfatti tutti i parametri di cui al Bando Fids per l’assegnazione delle Licenze WDSF per la Stagione 2017.
Da ultimo, Vi condividiamo che abbiamo avviato collaborazioni con altri Colleghi in vista di realizzare un evento Internazionale, WDSF, nelle date in cui auspicavamo si svolgesse il ROMA OPEN.

A tutti coloro che hanno contribuito a rendere "UNICA" questa quarta edizione del ROMA OPEN MMXVI. Più di 1000 coppie hanno danzato in 3 giorni di gara con le migliori coppie al mondo che hanno espresso la nostra bellissima "Arte" in uno scenario davvero unico.

Il nostro è un "GRAZIE" a tutti coloro che hanno contribuito in maniera attiva al nostro evento (Ballerini, pubblico, staff, giudici, orchestra).
