The 5th Edition of the Robinson Film Awards has come to a close

As we bring this year’s incredible journey to an end, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part in the fifth edition of the Robinson Film Awards. Whether you joined us as a filmmaker, viewer, juror, or supporter, your presence helped make this edition truly special.

A special thank you goes to all our judges, whose insight and dedication allowed us to honor the remarkable work submitted throughout the year. We also want to warmly thank our brilliant host, Clotilde, for leading the evening with such grace and energy, as well as the cultural Association 'A Sunagliera and Oasi Navarro

Meet the Judges 🎬 Emilio Mercanti

He is an independent Italian filmmaker and creative producer based in the Marche region. His short film “TIC TAC”, a 25-minute surreal time-loop drama, has been screened internationally and was recently awarded the Audience Choice Award on Faba Films.

Over the past few years, he has written, directed and produced short-form narratives and branded content, managing projects end-to-end, from script development and casting to editing, festival strategy and distribution. This hands-on approach has sharpened his editorial judgment, especially in story structure, character work and visual language.

Alexandros Kouros is a Greek filmmaker specializing in film directing, with a strong focus on visual storytelling and emotional depth. He has received multiple international awards for his short films as Director, Cinematographer, Editor and Producer. His work is characterized by strong aesthetic identity, cinematic precision, and full involvement in all stages of production.

Meet the Judges 🎬 Nick Grant

With over eleven years of industry experience, he is an accomplished self-shooting Director, Cinematographer, and Editor known for his visually driven storytelling. His diverse portfolio spans documentaries, film campaigns, and narrative shorts for high-profile clients like Adidas, Don Julio, the NHS, and the Scottish Government, alongside international feature film experience on Sawah.

His recent short documentary, Vigilante, garnered international acclaim, winning Best Short at the Berlin Film & Photo Festival and reaching the semi-finals at the Frames of New York Film Festival 2025. Additionally, in 2020, his talent was recognized when the Scottish Documentary Institute shortlisted him for a prestigious masterclass.

Backed by formal film studies, he excels at crafting captivating, emotive imagery that tells a compelling story without the need for words. As a natural collaborator and leader, he blends deep technical knowledge with strong creative instincts. He thrives in team environments, acting as the cohesive force that brings precise and clear visions to life.
