Mercoledì 17 e giovedì 18 dicembre Between Land and Sea e Prima Onda fest presenteranno la premiere dello spettacolo teatrale CAMPOBELLO al Teatro Garibaldi di Palermo.
Campobello è un racconto teatrale che intreccia realtà e finzione per dare voce all’Europa dei margini: quella sostenuta dal lavoro invisibile dei braccianti migranti e dalle fragilità di chi vive nelle periferie sociali del continente.
Frutto di una ricerca durata oltre due anni nei territori della raccolta delle olive, l’opera unisce testimonianze reali, musica dal vivo e un linguaggio scenico che attraversa italiano, francese e bambara. La regista Eva-Maria Bertschy, insieme ad Abou Bakar Sidibé e Daniela Macaluso, costruisce una parabola contemporanea sull’indifferenza istituzionale, sulle nuove forme di sfruttamento e sulle solidarietà che continuano a nascere ai margini.
Con una scenografia in costante trasformazione e musiche originali che intrecciano tradizioni africane e melodie europee.

On Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 December, Between Land and Sea e Prima Onda fest present the premiere of the theatre production CAMPOBELLO at Teatro Garibaldi in Palermo.
Campobello is a theatrical narrative that weaves together reality and fiction to give voice to the Europe of the margins: the one sustained by the invisible labour of migrant farmworkers and by the fragilities of those living in the continent’s social peripheries.
The result of more than two years of research in the territories of the olive harvest, the work combines real testimonies, live music, and a stage language that moves between Italian, French, and Bambara. Director Eva-Maria Bertschy, together with Abou Bakar Sidibé and Daniela Macaluso, creates a contemporary parable about institutional indifference, new forms of exploitation, and the solidarities that continue to emerge at the margins.
With a scenography in constant transformation and original music intertwining African traditions and European melodies.
